The pilot uniforms will be pinstripe? I dont remember any of the samples they were advertising having the pinstripes. Can you describe them any more?

My bad. They pilot uniforms will be solid black. But the stripes on the jacket and epaulets will be very thin. That's what I meant by pen stripe... sorry for the confusion...

Well, thats ALMOST correct. They will be the same uniforms but the colors of the accessories of what I understand will be different but in the same family, meaning you will see a difference. if its any consolation, the f/as will have a stripe on their jackets.

I hope I'm wrong but with all the merger stuff I don't think anyone will see a new uniform soon.

No Offense to our more "Seasoned" F/A's as they are great, but the thought of certain folks in a g-String and pasties is likely to result in getting all of that barf bag advertising wet.

I'm sure the uniforms will be just fine.

Not so much a stripe...more of a blue band. Not a stripe in the traditional sense.

I think DL will be wearing out new uniforms! That is what I was told by the MEC uniform Chairperson.

Why are they using chairs to test uniform? A chair is not going to wear out the cloth. A chair does not fly.

FYI...I'm a chair and I fly....I don't usually get paid time from the union unless I have to give up a trip to be somewhere specific which has happened once in the past year. I fly my full schedule every month. The position is a voted on position and there are openings in many bases. If you are interested in being a uniform chair, then I suggest you speak to your LEC. Someone has to wear test so it makes sense that the people involved with the uniform process be involved...at least some think it makes sense...Let's see...we need people to wear test...should we ask those who are involved with the whole process, someone who has volunteered their time away from their personal lives to get involved...or we could just ask any ole FA who has never made the effort to attend a single AFA LEC meeting...volunteered any time to help in the AFA...and usually just spends their time complaining about how things work, rather than get involved and make a difference....
