And we can't wait to get rid of CO. Phooey on them. HP farts in their general direction. Their mothers were hamsters and their fathers smelt of elderberries.

No it does not, if mtc is needed they contact a "on-call" vendor, there is not anyone there full-time watching US' planes.

700,

Maybe they'll be testing whether the phone works if an AWA plane needs maintenance....

It's my understanding, that even though US can convert Canadian stations into Mainline express, by Canadian law they cannot touch the employees pay. YUL is an example.

Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time!

Well, I have kept my mouth shut long enough.

1) HP uses UAL for Contract Maintenance. U Calls DL FIRST with UAL the second contract VENDOR. As previous mentioned, often a road trip from PHL or LGA U MTC happens.

2) U will still sub-lease gate 39 to DH. Only difference is that Indy Air will handle their own ramp, NO LONGER U FSA's

3) HP will operate out of Gate 38. AT PRESENT, HP Ticket Counter WILL REMAIN at the other end of Terminal A. Their Bagroom will remain in its current location. Some offices will move over to U's Satilite A3 location.

4) And most important. DAL Services WILL CONTINUE to HANDLE ALL Fleet Service functions, NOT U FSA's. C/S will remain seperate. U employees to handle U/USE flights and HP to handle HP flights.

5) U will operate all flights from Gates 36 & 37. The GPU and Ground Air has been INOP on Gate 36 for months with no return to service date.

6) U will continue to spend $300 a push to have Worldwide Services move the RON aircraft off the Gates as we currently do. Sad, but it is work that can be done by U FSA's but U Management would rather spend HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS a year to have this done.

So Capt, PLEASE CHECK FACTS before posting inacturate stories. Trust me, my sources are much better then your on this one.

Will the ceasing of working INDY AIR cause layoffs?

And thanks for the good information, as we know a certain pilot only tries to spin it in his opinion.

Hope777:

In regard to the test city, I spoke directly with Eugene on Friday and that is what he told me. Do you have a better source?

My point is simple -- Newark has been selected to be the test city for the merger integration.

Regards,

I believe Hope777 does have a better source as he has told us before he works in EWR.

700UW:

I spoke directly with the Newark Station Manager, who is a friend of mine, and he gave me the information regarding the test city. If you would like me to find out even more details, I can and post them for you.

700UW, is there a better Newark source?

In regard to Hope’s comments, I never professed to know who conducts specific functions at a specific city. I fly the Caribbean, Latin America, and all over the Continental U.S. and I cannot keep track of what company conducts what function at every station. In regard to my job it’s not important to know who does the ground handling work – what is important for my job is commanding an aircraft and operating it safely.

Serves US right! Jerry Glass must have pissed his pants when he was told this!

....Just wish our laws down here protected labor a little more too....

700, No FSA's to lose jobs. Several 20+ year Employees have opted to take the Early Out.

Capt. 1st, why use his name. You do not like your name used. Second, where did you talk to him on Friday, oh thats right LGA. He spends more time away from EWR then you do your home.

And my sorces, 1 the HP Station Manager whom is in EWR DAILY. 2nd, how about the HP Facility People that have been there on several occasions.

And did your Source tell you tha HP had planned to move July 1st, but at the last minute CCY had changed plans on dropping DH all together. Seems some Egos in CCY tried flexing some muscle.

Maybe EWR is the First city in which flights are moved to a combined facility, but that is where it ends.

Everything a 320 pilot posts is right.

And if it is wrong he keeps posting it, if you hear it three times (even if it is from the same person) it must be right.

Hope777:

With all due respect, I wrote a generic column regarding Newark and the city being selected as the test city for the merger. That's it...no more, not less.
