You're not from around these parts are ya? 🙄 😛

I would think that once the approval is given we'd see US handling HP in as many cities as soon as they can in regards to terminating their contracts with CO/AE, etc. No need to be paying money outside the family.

With the IAM fleet service contract (and the rape of AWA fleet service workers who will have this contract and union forced on them), I see many stations going contract on the ramp. No US... no HP. Just rent-a-rampers. As soon as all fleet service goes to IAM, Doug Parker will have the green light to contract out the help. It won't be personal. It's just business.

Just an upadate on this topic.

Hp Teminated all RON aircraft over at Gate 38 last evening, worked by Delta Globe Services. As said previously, HP personel will work HP flights and US personel will work US flights. The only shared office space will be Operations, staffed by a U FSA and HP Operations agent. And durring HP's move over to USAirways Gate space, where do you think the U Station Manager is? On Vacation !!

Maybe having a U Manager out of the picture was a sure sign of progress in work?

I am curious as to why you perceive the TWU to be better than the IAM. Also of note, Doug has never done anything that would give me the impression that he would run to contract anything out. Yes, it is buisness, but I truly believe that Doug feels as I do, that overall, the best thing for our buisness is HP and US Employees.

Have you bothered to look at the IAM contract? I assume not. Other than the pay scale, this contract is terrible. Now I want you, HP Manager, to take the time to dissect the TWU contract - if you have ever even taken the time to read it.

IAM contract:
*Holidays will be reduced from 8 to 5.
*Employees will not be paid for the first sick day of each occurrence. The second through fourth sick leave day(s) of each occurrence, where employees are eligible to use accrued sick time, will be paid at 50% of the employee's scheduled hours and decremented at a 50% rate.
*Sick leave will no longer be used to supplement statutory benefits for OI.
*Vacation
1st year of service 10 days
19th year of service 15 days
25th year of service 20 days
*Eliminate Shift 3 paid meal periods
*The maximum overtime rate will be time-and-one-half
*******If a Class II station’s scheduled mainline weekly jet departures are reduced to a level of 56 weekly departures on an annualized basis, the Company may outsource fleet service work in that station.******
*Should an outsourced station’s weekly mainline departures increase to more than 98 weekly departures on an annualized basis, such station shall become a Class II station. (decrease in pay scale)
*Mainline Stations which may be Outsourced (based on February 8, 2005 schedule)

MDT, ***MSP***, DTW, GSO, IAH, ***MCI***, ALB, ATL, BNA, IAD, ILM, MYR, ***SEA***, CHS, ROC, ***SAN***, SYR, ***DEN***, RIC, ORF, PHX

*Agreement through 12/31/09

Would this include outsourcing at the following stations? Probably so.

LGB, ICT, COS, MKE, IND, TUS, among others???

There is not decrease in pay from a class one station to class two.

700, there sure is a decrease in pay. That is why we say the Hub Stations (CLASS I) Sold the little guys (CLASS II) and worse down the river. Class I stations make almost $2.00 and hour MORE. They voted with their wallet not their heads.
