Non Rev Travel: By Seniority- Merged Topics

If sweet tea is made I will move in a mili second.. 😀 That is if I can get approved to be in Philly and being that I'm new to US Air Inflight! Five years or so in Philly is not even a speck of dust on the map to the Inflight dept! I make peanuts and eat mac/cheese and hotdogs so not sure if I could afford a pricy rent in Philly, and the cold... sends me shivers....

Toughen up desert boy and come to PHL when you can and I will buy you a nice warm hat! LOL, it is really not that cold in PHL compared to other places like PIT. How much money you make will depend on what they do with the reserve system.
 
All I can say is that America West Employee moral dropped to a record all time low. I do not think I have ever seen the moral in the lows like today... minus the FRANKE DAYS... :unsure: . ...: shock: . Lets just say... hum.. : blink: LAS/PHX is still in shell shock…. While many east employees danced in the streets.

First it was Mayo Insurance
Second it was Bankruptcy
Third it was 9/11
Four it was our Name (America West Airlines)
Fifth it was our Seniority
Sixth it was NO COST CONTRACTS
Seventh: it was Non-Revving policy changes.
When does it end?
Why are the America West employees now acting in an immoral fashion? Just because one does not like something, does not require not being moral. I believe immoral activity is grounds for dismissal.

i belive that the reason you may consider us to be acting in an immoral fashion is because we are watching OUR company stab US in the back ..... us airways IS america west as far as those of us in the west are concerned ...but it's fine , i no longer care about boarding priority , i'm just going to focus on getting as much money as possible out of this company ..." you have to squeez every penny !" I agree. I'm active and 31 years, but would gladly defer to a retiree with more time than me. You paid your dues and spouses should be treated the same as employees. It's the right thing to do.

Just my humble opinion....
I worked for 33 years under the system that a retiree paid his dues and went ahead of me. Seemed fair to me then and now. Hell, how many of us are there flying around anyway ? Crappy pension, no medical, who can afford to travel? Plus, those of us with a lot of years in, have been everywhere we wanted to go. Non reving is such a pain, we just dont bother. There are a LOT more actives traveling than retirees. In all of 2006, I went to BOS once. 2 flights a year. Big threat to actives. LOL! They took our pensions, medical and God knows what else, give us our seniority back! I think in all my years, only once did I not get on due to a retiree.

First criteria is Boarding Priority, i.e. SA 3, before SA 4

Then employees within one of those categories will be placed in order of YEAR of hire.

Within the same hire year, employees will be ordered by check-in time.

Per Doug Parker at the PHX meeting taking place right now. March 3 is the date the two res systems combine, and this boarding procedure will then be effective airline wide.
Well, they sure TRIED to please everyone. 🙂 Now, let's get on with improving everything that needs fixing and make this airline NUMBER 1 !
 
It still does not make up for the $16 more per hour the West f/os are making more than me. I bet they have not been here 20 years either.

I dont blame the West on that. That was in their contract so good for them. Now the land grab they want on seniority is a different story. Our guys GAVE them OUR profit share so that is not their fault either. Auto fixer, dont you think we should be junior to "Save Dave" which means all of them? Heck we only have over 20 years.My new stickers are going to be, " F$#@ Dave", "Your welcome" and "DOH".

No way should a spouse or child get the same boarding priority as an employee who actually WORKS for the airline.
