Non Reving Priority on USAirways

i have an 88 doh and a f/a date of 1992. just seems that we have given away too much already and seniority is the last perk of this job when it comes to non reving and f/c upgrades (when u can get one) we have a cruddy reserve system and dont get me started on the etb......both these sysems evade any kind of senority!!!!! just seems only fair...i have a ton of people senior to me and the same amount junior. it just does'nt seem right that a brand new hire can get on an airplane before someone with say 2yrs or 5yrs or 10 yrs...get my point ? i think this fcfs system will force people who commute from the west to move to the vegas or phx bases to make an easier commute.

Why not a separate "commuter" boarding priority?
NO WAY on the seperate commuter priority!

Being a westie, I still think seniority is the way to go! The longer you are here, the more you have earned the benefit to non-rev.

I'm a hard worker and represent the company well.

I'm gonna say something unpopular, but it's how I feel .

When I had 2 years, I THOUGHT I was entitled. After 20 years of service, I AM entitled.

Enough said from me on this one. 🙂

and everyone else should give up thier seat because one CHOOSES to comute - that is pure BS -- they comute buy choice so they need to make thier plans accordingly.

Lets NOT go thru boarding FCFS or DOH again! The decision will be made soon enough by corporate and we will live with it. I think we have all had plenty of time to consider the consequences of that decision and will deal with it accordingly. I really wish they would made the decision and announce it so we can all complain and than move on. We all live with constant changes in this industry and if the final determination is not to our liking we will still deal with it. Enough.

You go phxmama! It is going to go one way or the other, no matter how much we cry about it. So, we can sit around and complain, or get over it! I choose to wait and see, and if I have to get over it, I will.

There are many things in life that could be much more detrimental to us, than the priority to get on an airplane.

AWA contract,

Actually East has closed quite a few bases in the past 10-20 years. Its not easy to uproot a family and move to a new "base", especially if the person that is the flight attendant is not the "breadmaker" of the fam. (which I don't think is even conceivable at the new US pay scales!)
