A large number of them were deists. I could make the same argument about caring for the people in general. COTUS still does not say it.

The deist argument is utter BULLSHITE. Recently created by Christian Hating Progressive and Atheist groups worldwide. It's the moral equivalent of Holocaust denial. Don't like History that doesn't agree with your world view? Make some up by rumor conjecture and half truths. It's the Progressive way, happens all the time. Obama is a master at it.

The COTUS & DOI assumes a belief in a Creator. The specific reason "Creator" was used was to make certain that no one religion could turn the USA into a Theocracy like the one they fled from England. Additionally, the Founding Fathers.

I can think of no better use of Federal Funds than to ensure that our Armed Forces are well served by our nation.

Since 777 did not push the issue I will. The COTUS only provides for the creation of a military. It makes no comment on their medical needs any more than it does on the medical needs of the people. So the soldiers need to fend for them selves once they are out of the service. After all, it's not in the COTUS.

Obama signs anti-protest Trespass Bill

Only days after clearing Congress, US President Barack Obama signed his name to H.R. 347 on Thursday, officially making it a federal offense to cause a disturbance at certain political events — essentially criminalizing protest in the States.

RT broke the news last month that H.R. 347, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, had overwhelmingly passed the US House of Representatives after only three lawmakers voted against it. On Thursday this week, President Obama inked his name to the legislation and authorized the government to start enforcing a law that has many Americans concerned over how the bill could bury the rights to assemble and protest as guaranteed in the US Constitution.

Under H.R. 347, which has more commonly been labeled the Trespass Bill by Congress, knowingly entering a restricted area that is under the jurisdiction of Secret Service protection can garner an arrest. The law is actually only a slight change to earlier legislation that made it an offense to knowingly and willfully commit such a crime. Under the Trespass Bill’s latest language chance, however, someone could end up in law enforcement custody for entering an area that they don’t realize is Secret Service protected and “engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct” or “impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions.”

Any laws enacted must be done so in accordance with the COTUS. That's where the 14th amendment comes into play. That is what guarantees that all people will be allowed to marry. The only thing that hurts is your ignorance of how the COTUS and US legal system work.

All are endowed by their creator with equal rights. This thread was designed for a variety of topics the least of which In my mind is gay rights. Because Gays don't have rights, individuals have rights. The thread topic is "Obama Strikes Again" referring to his actions against Freedom and Liberty.

I guess it's a good thing that gays are looking for equal rights then huh? All people might be entitled to equal rights but the current law regarding marriage seems to have a different take on it.

This thread has the original topic of the Keystone pipeline. Not sure where freedom and liberty come into play on that but have at it. It has already been shown that NE was and still is against the route of the pipeline and that they are the ones tossing a wrench in the works. I guess Obama could have told NE to pound sand but I am sure you would have been upset about that as well. The fact that it is a republican legislature and governor is the cherry on top of the banana split.

i am sorry that my concern for equal rights distresses you so much. Perhaps if you were not so blinded by your religious dogma you would see clearer. Oh well. Last time I cheeked Am and his friends are not mentioned in the COTUS. What else ya got?
