I cannot answer that question; it is better directed at Obama himself. I will point out, however, that those transactions were completed before any of those convictions mentioned above. Notwithstanding, Rezko was still known as a "questionable dude" during those transactions, so your question still remains as to why Obama was associated with this guy.

I am not defending that relationship, just clarifying certain unfounded accusations by other posters.

You’re absolutely right Lilly; Obama never bought a house from Rezko. To all, please accept my sincere apology. I definitely wouldn’t want my statement to suggest that Obama and Rezko had anything but a legal, ethical and professional relationship. As Obama stated about the land deal made with Rezko, it was “boneheadedâ€￾ because people might think that Rezko had done him a favor. It is my belief that it was exactly that!

What I don’t understand is why Obama thought it was a good idea to attack McCain over his home ownership gaffe. I’m sure the Obama campaign understands that one attack ad begets an opposition, equal attack ad. That being said, McCain is just as guilty as Obama when it comes to negative ads. Now that the process is well under way, I can assure you that the names Rezko, Ayers and Wright are about to float to the surface. . . again.

A small percentage can make a huge difference. Do you watch the news? A few foreclosures in your neighborhood and the price of everyone's home goes down. It is a domino effect.

I don't know and I don't care. What I do care about is the media being alarmist about it. Some people made some bad choices or got caught in some unfortunate circumstances. This is not the first time this has happened.
