This is what some of the employees in Providence RI are asking these days. Providence was the winners of an extreme makeover for best merger theme for a station in their size station.
Employees say that all they have seen was a new paint job performed by their stations manager and her husband and the floors waxed. They say they still have the same old furniture and cabinets with the broken doors.

The makeover is supposed to come in our operation. So far, I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe we have a leg up on any airline one way or the other. Unless, of course, you want to speak to the wages and work rules. But that alone will not guarantee our survival. Al Crelin is still in charge here folks. And all the new furniture, carpet, microwaves and paint can't change that.

If they don't make us operate more like Southwest with customer fringes we are in the same boat as before. You know, the one that was taking on water faster than Siegel and Lakefield could bail.

They shouldn't feel alone. Vegas won the hub catagory and haven't even seen a drop of paint yet! 🙁

I think this method of CCY management is referred to as the "Lipstick on a Pig" principle here.

FLL got their breakroom makeover last month. New fridge, chairs, tables, microwave, ceiling tiles and a fresh coat of paint....looks 100% better! Now all we need is a nice wide screen HD TV with a satellite hook up! 😛

Hmmm . . . have you asked your station manager about what's going on? If he/she has ordered any of the items above? Most station managers don't have corporate credit cards, and it would be a stretch for most to purchase these items then wait to be reimbursed.

With this mentality, why don't you start a thread asking why all the aircraft aren't painted in the new livery yet?
