I have heard this announcement before too!! I heard it on the gates in LAS !!! It made me laugh, but whatever. You know no one but airline employees REALLY listen to PA announcements anyway.

Since most cell phones can record a bit of video, maybe we should start dicretely recording some of these announcements and send them to Doogie. Maybe a word from the head shed to the error-prone employees' supervisors and station managers will correct the errors.

It's easily fixed. "Say it correctly, or take a month off without pay."

Shannon- That is so true! If pax actually listened to PA's they'd stop asking us all those stupid questions.

There are always going to be those rogues that make non-standard announcements.

I predict this thread will go one of two ways:

1. It will end up in an east vs. west, who saved who type thing, along with a warning from the mods to "play nice or go to the cornfield" and then subsequently locked.

or

2. It will just die.

Personally, I think it's a good idea to say that. It gives folks an opportunity to find another flight to their destination before it's too late! Also, when their "flying experience" sucks, they know why.

For some reason it's intolerable to some people when others make mistakes or make an announcement using the same verbiage they used for years. At US we have a far larger share of those miserable employees than anywhere else in the industry.

Really? I have been flyin' lotsa trips lately, and all of my crews have been amazing, both the cockpit and the cabin. Might the misery be self induced? 😛h34r:

We have been thru so much, but the one thing I am always amazed at , is how the US people take care of each other.
