In 20 or so years we've seen CEO's come and gone

Judge for yourself who is/has been the WORST..
1) Wolf/Gangwall

2) Seth Schofield

3) Parker..

If you're wondering why DP is LAST ON THE LIST., I prioritize him LAST NOT FIRST AND Give him LAST RESPECT as he has done for us.
a) Company-last

B) Passengers last

c) EMPLOYEES LAST!

SO there!!!
BOD>>if you're reading this, Dump his @$$ out..and QIK!

You forgot to list Colodny.

^And how could anyone forget Siegel? For me it would be a toss up between him and Parker, although I think Parker is actually a human being, whilst Siegel is one of the soulless lizard people who are purported to live under Denver International Airport and eat children.

An easier poll might be to question who the BEST CEO ever was. That might prove too difficult, too, though. Hmmmm, how about a poll that rates the BEST of the WORST? In that poll, Wolf wins the best of the worst award.

No I didn't for get Old Uncle Ed..he was not a B*****D like the rest..

Siegel was Siegel, the lowest of all snakes..

the above are the most memorable..but, hey thanks for the reminder!

Wolfe, what did he do besides rape the company for millions. His merger didn't go through, so he bailed with his pockets full.

Just exactly what Dougie will do when the money dries up. He'll bail, leaving the employees holding the bag.

Sorry, but nevet heard of him..was he like the Lorenzo of 'past TWA?

Were it not for Wolf's strategy to a.) increase intl. travel from PHL and b.) create the Envoy/business class cabin, it's doubtful anyone after him would have done those things in light of the financial problems that ensued in the years since 2001. He also believed in CLT and PIT as intl. gateways for some of the larger Euro cities. He started the movement for a common fleet, even if some people don't agree with the choices.

So, from an operational and visionary standpoint, he wasn't so bad. But he clearly put his own personal goals ahead of the company.

Sorry, but nevet heard of him..was he like the Lorenzo of 'past TWA?

Do you mean Icahn at TWA, or there was Loranzo at Texas Air?

Lorenzo was barred from the business by the government and Franke never "achieved" that. Ichan had so much money that he basically bought TWA to finish looting it from within. No Franke was simply the anti-Christ with no background in airlines, but was a supposed turn-around specialist. He really thought he could replace FA's with vending machines and then found out from the FAA that he was mistaken. He fired a bunch of maintenance workers right before Xmas and outsourced their work, only to find out in the future that the quality of the outsourced work sucked and that by the time they outsourced the work and then corrected the errors in PHX once the aircraft returned to PHX, that it was cheaper just to have had our own folks do all the work.

One last true story. I think it was in early 2000, he called a meeting of all supervisors and above from all airport departments to occur in the hanger at PHX. When he arrived he was attended by about a dozen guards who made a presidential-type perimeter around him the entire time he was at the meeting. There was no pressing of the flesh type thing, no coming out to talk to the worker bees, it was come to the meeting, gripe loudly at everyone and then leave with the guards. It was pathetic.

This was mailed out to all USAIR employees about 20 years ago
after we merged with Piedmont and there was a petition for
us to vote out the Union and trust the company.I can only quote
from it ...but I'm quoting exactly as printed.

''YO HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BY SUPPORTING USAIR IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION''
''THE TEAMSTERS SAY THE COMPANY WILL REDUCE YOUR
WAGES AND BENIFITS AS A RESULT OF THE UNION LOSING
THE ELECTION : I GUARANTEE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN !
USAIR WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION AND
BENIFITS AT COMPETITIVE LEVELS AS OUR PAST RECORD
DEMONSTRATED.

THE TEAMSTERS SAY YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SENIORITY RIGHTS
IF THE UNION LOSES THE ELECTION :
I GUARANTEE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN !

THE TEAMSTERS SAY WE WILL CONTRACT YOUR JOBS TO AN
OUTSIDE AGENCY IF THE UNION LOSES THE ELECTION :
I GUARANTEE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN !

THIS IS USAIR'S COMMITMENT TO YOU.''
