What's new

PHL Inflight Director has left the building

I want to know where you heard this? And why has there not been anything posted?
Where I heard what? I've been reading and paying attention. My comment was directed to his actions since taking his position, nothing more. Since he came in he's replaced several long standing stagnant individuals at least on the West side. I don't know anything about the East and I'm sorry if loosing this person is a bad thing, but it's a change, change is good and anything that makes our environment better over time is a welcome change.

I apologize if you thought I was trying to be clairvoyant.

Which goes to show what you know.......first off, losing Dave Whitworth is one of the biggest losses this company has had for some time. He had the flight attendant background as well as the departmental and station backgrounds to round out his knowledge. He had a great vision for the department and a very loyal workforce (at least his reports....can't speak to the Philly F/As).........Just because Dave was the one who FINALLY got the B-16 crewroom up and running I know doesn't count for anything!!!!! A West wouldn't be so bad if everyone wouldn't trash it all the time.

Second, the two managers left behind are quite capable......Sue has been here for quite sometime and understands the domestic side of things and is now learning international.....Mona is from outside.....hasn't been here long....I think she is one of Hector's buds.........maybe NW?

In PHX, yes, Brenda is one of his from NW days......she is great.....but the Manager has been there for a while......I think she's former West....had been a supervisor. And it was PHX turn for the face lift.....not just because Brenda got there......remember PHL got B16 first.........then CLT crewroom got a makeover.....these two had been promised makeovers for YEARS!

I doubt if anyone will go to PHL from the West......why leave PHX for PHL!? UGH! The weather doesn't compare!

Yes the PHX Base Manager is a promoted supervisor from what I've heard she isn't anything to write home about. As for the PHX crew room update, all that was originally planned was some paint and some signage updating. She took it a bit further and got rid of all the clutter. Had new artwork put up and from what I heard she is planning a quiet/sleep room, bag room and some additional work areas for the F/A's.

I'm so glad to hear this! It's nice to hear Hector is cleaning house! It will be nice to come back to a new environment.
What has Hector REALLY Done? Not a Thing!! Nada!! Nothing!!

Bull Crap!! He was The Nicest Guy!! Do NOT Spread Rumers!!
Agreed... I don't like it when people get on here not knowing what they are talking about ...
Dave is the best, and if it's true... that he is leaving... I will miss him. But, I still want to see it in writing...

Did you Know him? If you did not then shut your TRAP!!
Listen. I don't know you and I'm not going to attempt to offer any reasonings for your behavior. I'll simply make a few points.

1.) This isn't your web-board. You do not moderate it nor do you get to pick and choose who gets to voice their opinions. I will thank you to remember that the next time you feel the need to censor me.

2.) I wasn't speaking about this individual directly. There have been many changes Hector has brought about. Perhaps my being outside looking in has made it a bit better to witness them. Who knows. I also already address this issue to another poster and I suggest you take a moment to READ what was typed before you fly off the handle and tell people to shut up. My comments were mostly about the changes in PHX which were much needed.

3.) Anger management classes. A true gift to the world. Avail yourself.

Know the facts people. Though I never had a problem with him directly I was aware his reputation. If Hector Adler is behind Dave leaving it was for a reason. Say what you will about Hector but the man is the most experienced individual to hold his position in quite some time. He crosses his T's and dots his I's. Though the process may seem slow I believe he has performed and produced for the flight attendants 1000 times more than Shambles when that JOKE of a VP was still here. What I see is Hector cleaning clocks. Many in inflight are as nervous as a dog poopin' razor blades I'm sure.

 Boy some people fly into a snit. BTW coming from someone who loves to use that phrase to blow people off when I am bored of an argument, the term "whatever" is one word. Using it as two words changes the grammatical meaning. 😛
Running for cover 😛h34r:
Now that was funny!! LOL

Travelpro72 and Beachboy,

You don't have a clue.

I personally can say that Dave is a very nice guy. Every time he saw me in the airport he stopped and said hello. I have never had a bad experience with him. Having said that, I like Hector and where he comes from and what he believes in . If Hector was indeed behind David's departure then I am sure that there was a good reason for it . Being nice and likable and doing what you were put there to do, are two very different things .

I don't have a clue. I bet Beachboy doesn't have a clue either. double

Generally speaking in many companies there are usually only 2 reasons a guy at his level gets gone. First and usually the reason is a political termination. When I saw politics I mean something as simple as Hector putting his own people. Second reason is somebody got caught with their fingers in the cookie jar.
