Picketing and protests

Give us some dates! I dont know what has gone on in the past 3 years that all of us junior people were gone...but now we are back and alot of us were at MAA and we are just over it...so I guarantee that the junior folks will be there!
 
And senior RSV's also. May we all stand in solidarity and our RSV voice be heard. I feel that this 24/7 FAR is not going to be good for us, however, if either our union or management had acted on this earlier, it would not be such a big deal now. And maybe this LTO system might not even be here. This should have been in effect for years. How are our legalities different than the pilots? There not and the FAA just said so. Thanks for the 17 years of abuse. Oh, how it is gonna rain.

Well Amen and Hallelujah to that!! I'm certainly not happy or proud of the fact that senior people have had to go back on RSV these last few years but I'm really starting to feel that it will bite the company in the ass and go in our favor because now they've really p!$$ed these people off and they are in our court all the way. We need them to fight with us on this.

Can i wear a "I make $350/week" Sign? Yes i understand that i am work for a wholly owned, But still part of the big friggin mess.
 
I suggest one of two things. Fight for what you believe to be just and reasonable, or leave. If not enough people stand up and unite it will be a lost cause. Sad...very sad how the pendulum has swung to the far right of management's hand. Balance needs to be restored.

sky high states: Number one, this is the first time I've heard about picketing and protests. Arent most events posted on this board? This one was not.
And, secondly, it's hard to get F/A's "out there" because MOST OF THEM dont live IN BASE to do these events. Dont confuse empathy with logistics. Conservatively, 70 PERCENT commute to base. A good percentage of those may be on a trip when these events occur. So, when you get a couple dozen F/A's out for an event, it NO WAY CONVEYS the attitude of the group who cant make it.
I think this group conveyed it's solidarity in March, 2000, on the eve of CHAOS. Hundreds and hundreds showed up before the media at all bases.

So?...if these events have been known about for months, then DATES have been decided. Right? Anyone?

I can't wait for the date. if anyone needs a ride from a crashpad to the airport I'll load ya all up in my pickup truck. I think that more than one date or shift should be at the airport to picket. That way there is an opportunity for others to get out there. The fact that this job spreads us all over the country makes it hard to come together in numbers. RESERVES ARE MAD AS HELL AND OVER IT. Simply OVER IT! ! ! !

I agree wholeheartly!!!!!! having said that I am a reserve
who has been giving out the letters to oust "our" union president (LA) then i send them out to Terry - i know she had a court date on 27th and i offered to go with her. if and when they let us know of the meetings taking place im sure a lot more "reserves" would show up!! we have the most to lose, so we want to be heard. also if you want i can privatly send you a few letters i wrote to one of the VP for the union and when i challenged him to let me come and see him at work (he offered 1 day) he stopped corresponding.

Doug Parker is committing financial suicide and it's time that the same shareholders that kiss his AWE SHUCKS butt wake up and tell him to get these contracts signed and drop the cost neutral bulllshiiit. While nobody expects huge increases, NO employee coastline group should have to give a dime or benefit to supplement the other. DP wants the best of both except from labor.

I am seriously starting to wonder if this man has lost his mind. He wants this to be the NEW US Airways, yet his ACTIONS reflect those of the OLD US Airways. He has THE opportunity to form one heck of a great airline AND labor group.
