Not policy, just the current SOP for everybody concerned. If you don't understand that then........ I'm done, won't argue with you guys anymore.

I understand what you're saying, and we clearly disagree. Do YOU understand: "Do you actually imagine that any other pilot groups care in the least where any, other than themselves, end up on any seniority roster?"

"FYI, enjoy your ride to work. I commute and got grilled by an other airline pilot until I produced West credentials." Whew!..that's a wholly compelling argument that the entire world's indeed behind your cause then. Umm..did you ask him if he'd mind your jumping ahead of him in any combined list? 😉

PS: NO ONE need ever get "grilled" nor feel the least need to play wimp when jumpseating. Reciprocal jumpseating's a priveledge, and other airlines have their professional standards departments as we do. Simple courtesy should always rule. I've a zero tolerance position on either ever offering, or taking any BS in that area. Being a Professional Pilot properly includes acting like one, and respectfully demanding the same of others in our craft.

We actually did mention fences during the negotiations, you guys wouldn't have any of it. Funny how you are stuck on DOH, the response to your question is that DOH is not policy anymore unless you haven't noticed. FYI, another merger comes down the pipe, you guys are &^%$'ed, you have pissed off everybody.
As far as fences are concerned under the ALPA umbrella, moot point now, wouldn't you say? Besides, we were never in on what the negotiating committee did. Too many secret meetings for my tastes. Therefore I have no idea what was or wasn't offered.

I know a lot of pilots that commute and are getting big high fives for dumping ALPO. Guess it all depends who you commute on.

When Airways buys United on Friday it won't be moot anymore.

Maybe, maybe not. Lots of hurdles first. The least of which is in my opinion Doug won't go after anybody unless they are in BK first. That seems to be his MO. Now when UAL files for BK again, you will have my undivided attention.

Maybe it would be some kind of "prepackaged" deal like AMR-TWA. Who knows? $120/barrel oil is gonna KILL a lot of players in this industry.

If LCC buys anyone, they can call it "Project Piranha".

Yeah but I met a guy who knows a guy that says it's a done deal. Struck while the iron was hot.

Just great. Well I know a guy who has a bridge for sale and he also knows the secret ALPA handshake. Does that count also?

Personally, I'll say it again, Dougs' MO is only to go after someone in BK. Not to discount your "friends" info, but if UAL files for BK then I'll bet the deals already done, or will be done by Friday. Prepackaged 'ala AA/TWA. I do believe though, interesting times are looming on the horizon. At least we don't have ALPA merger policy oops "Guidelines" to depend on.

Alpa handshake trumps a USAPA handshake anyday.
Not hardly. You also have to remember there is a faction at UAL none to happy with ALPA. They may have gone underground much like a lot of USAPA supporters did years ago, but they are still there.

Underground....appropriate.
