Did they bring a chair to the table post-merger? As the answer with the MDA pilots was "no," I don't see how you can furlough them ahead of a pilot who did bring a chair to the merger.

All the west pilots really need to do is engage counsel and relax. That's already been done. There are not 1, but 2 very winnable DFR actions out there waiting for the "Angry First Officers from Cranberry" Club to trip on. See if you can find them.
Know what? you're right.

You keep your LAS water job...I'll keep the Paris job in the 330...is that what you are implying"....I love it.

You Westies hold your ground...the Easties will hold theirs...then we'll compare revenue...and then furlough....

Wish you well with no representation...

What a rediculous situation you propose....

And one the most certainly does not favor the West

I'm sure ALPA will return your calls as soon as you pay your dues.... In case you are unsure...you don't exist anymore to ALPA.

Interesting...

USAPA has taken NO actions as of yet except to win an NMB sanctioned election and already they are liable for ???

Better wait until they do something to get sued for.

This entire thread like the many before it is cheesey, corny, childish and pathetic. "It" like the previous threads before it offers very few, if any solutions, but instead points out the many defective personalities and damaged human beings masquerading as "proud pilots".

I feel very sorry for you, for your spouses and for all of your colleagues. I feel sorry for you because many of you are not able and even if you were able are not willing to somehow evolve beyond slinging insults and harboring deep resentments. I feel sorry for your spouses because if this is how you handle difficult situations, then what kindof horrible and tragically empty marriages are you all living within...your colleagues have quite enough to handle on their own, now don't they?

Somehow it will always be someone elses fault...parker, awa, us....somehow you will seemingly always avoid taking responsibility...and because of this somehow you will continue to be cheesey, corny, childish and pathetic.

Seeking the answer from a newly elected representation is not the way. But now that it is done, everyone (pilots) pull together and honestly put forward the agenda to the newly elected entity that allows for everyone to have a sense of being treated fairly and equitably. ..from the mouths of all of the membership, not the otherway around as is currently underway. It requires hard work and temperance, but the result will be worth it in the longrun. It's a tough decision to make when you are more concerned with the immediate gratification that name calling and union ousting actions provide.

Utilize your fine thinking skills and collectively put it together in a brilliant way.

Do it.

Wow! Member since two weeks ago and your fourth post. And already you are posting as if you've been here for years like so many of us. Sounds like the game the AWA pilots are trying to play.

Looks like you're off to a good start.

Travis. Please.. AWA needed US Airways as much as US Airways needed AWA. That is a pure fact of matter. Done. We are now in 2008. Let's deal with the real issues. Our men and women on each side will overcome this! Things might look bleek for the time being. Only time will tell, and we are all professionals. SO remember that when you go to work, please. The enemy will always be mgmt! They want division, and will take advantage of any weakness, so be prepared.

Please, all of US, stand together!!! 😎

Funny how all you east guys are preaching peace and harmony. The time for this was after the negotiation/arbitration, not after declaring war on the west by making an end-run for obvious reasons.

You forgot to put "drunk, drug running, UFO spotting" in front of scab.

If I forgot any other adjectives feel free to insert them.

A pilot who is called a scab and laughs it off... There is hope that some cooler heads can step forward and lead by example to unify the pilots.

Get back on subject. The topic here is the unions and pilots. Who bought who and which side needed which is irrelevent and you were told long ago to drop that line of debate.

It doesn't matter who bought whom. Deal with it.

Travis,

the east did not "need" AWA. The money came through US, not AWA.

However, AWA did need US.

You seem to forget, no one would give you money until Parker and the West stepped in. I am not sure, but the money probably did go to US Airways (the new one) as that was to be the surviving company ultimately and they needed the money; the West was solvent. Just my two cents.
