Has anyone heard anything further about the resumption of the PIT-FRA route? Possibly with the ATA 757's, this would free up a 762 for the route?
Not impossible but highly improbable.Has anyone heard anything further about the resumption of the PIT-FRA route? Possibly with the ATA 757's, this would free up a 762 for the route?

757 would barely make it. PIT-FRA = 3,580 nmHas anyone heard anything further about the resumption of the PIT-FRA route? Possibly with the ATA 757's, this would free up a 762 for the route?
Sorry...they are not -300's. they are 757-23N that were ex-ATA then operated by Air Horizons until Air Horizon ceased operation in Dec 2005 and the lease holder put them up for sale/lease.The ATA 75's talked about are -300 Models. More then enough Range for PIT-FRA.
And by the way the -200 has a longer range than the -300.Sorry...they are not -300's. they are 757-23N that were ex-ATA then operated by Air Horizons until Air Horizon ceased operation in Dec 2005 and the lease holder put them up for sale/lease.
here are the aircraft.......

Continental Airlines is getting ATA's former 757-300s, that was announced last year.
The 757's that US Airways are getting are the ones that the west side looked at a few months back. But they were configured more like the east side aircraft than the west side aircraft......thus the decision to run them from the east.Correct. Continental already has them.
