i was told by some rampers that many of them have crash pads in phl . they usually go to their crash pads and chill out while they are on the clock . is this true ? i actually crash with a few of them and see it myself . but i just can't beleive it. :angry:

Most of us can't afford a place to live much less a crash pad.
First of all if it happens it is wrong.
Second I really doubt it since you have to have a live body to work a flight, especially if you have a gate change, you have to take a bus to the employee parking lot then leave. In CLT several years back some rampers were leaving early, a flight came to their gate and there was no one to work it, they were terminated, got their jobs back but placed on final warnings.
Third, this is not the place to air it if it happens.
Fourth is that like all the waters and sodas the F/As take with them on the overnight?

If a ramper is chilling at the crashpad while on the clock, they should be fired and not have a chance to an appeal w/ the union. However, I find that hard to believe because the bags aren't going to load themselves. As for f/a's taking beverages with them on the overnight, I really don't think so. Topic is "rampers" cheating the company!! Nothing to do with the rest of the groups!! Like making the statement do all stores persons buy batteries for their kids X Mas toys? The company spent a lot of money creating a video on the subject!!
Getting back to the rampers, I doubt if one would have time during their shift, maybe they are picking up extra hours and have a break between shifts, so they head to the crash pad. Used to see that happening all the time. Part time 6hr shift and pick up a second and instead of sitting in the breakroom for a few hours they go home, To easy to be caught otherwise, with all the security every time you punch an access code to enter or exit a door there is a record. And we also cannot forget the parking lot access!! Sound like someone just stirring the s*** :down:

listen it's happening ok. the rampers who are at my crashpad are admitting it. they say it's wrong but that it's happening. they are doing it themselves as well. we were watching tv together the last time and one said . "oh sh##, i gotta go back before they realize i am missing."
