Someone actually asked a great question a few posts back. For those that feel you should not be rewarded for "doing your job", why is it management rewards themselves continuously for doing THEIR job by way of bonuses? Usually a lousy JOB at that. Hmmmmm. Speaking from an inflight point of view, initiate an incentive program over the protected holiday and see how your sick calls drop. Calling in sick when your well is wrong but it's done. Those people usually have an FU attitude toward management and two wrongs don't make a right. With that being said the reality is IT HAPPENS. It will CONTINUE to happen until this company can get staffing levels correct, respect employees and most importantly understand that TRYING to rule with an iron fist is not going to work. Management through intimidation like the half cocked cbs letter the company put out for inflight will do NOTHING. Got it? NOTHING. You will experience your normal level of call offs. PERIOD! ! ! ! ! 🙄
