Boeing opening a new plant in South Carolina that is non union is pro jobs and pro workers. The NRLB board that Obama packed with communist labor leaders blocking it is pro union leadership and anti worker how can you not see that!
BTW Boeing having two plants, even if one is non union, benefits the Washington Union employees too in the long run but they are to uneducated in economics to realize that!
Having actually worked for Boeing.....I can tell you unequivocally, and first hand that Boeing far from pro-job or pro-worker. Boeing is PRO BOEING.
Ask the tens of thousand of technicians and engineers (even the ones they brought back out of retirement) they laid off 18 month later after bringing he NextGen 737 program back on schedule. They paid to move this people and put them up in company paid hotels just to get them there as soon as possible and at any cost. Turns out there was a catch.
18 mos later BA laid them ALL off - then sued the employees for the dollar value pf their "company paid" move to SEA and their temporary housing costs once they got them there. Thats real pro-worker. Are you sure Parker wasn't at Boeing in the mid 90s?
I also ran across this in Wall Street 24/7 that I thought had an interesting parallel to all this anti union-tea party blather that keeps coming up.
The top TEN poorest states in the country (See if you see the trend here - it's tricky):
Top Ten List....or Bottom as the case may be
10. North Carolina - Unemployment rate: 10.1% (9th highest) right to work state.
09. Alabama - Unemployment rate: 10.0% (10th highest) right to work state
08. Kentucky - Unemployment rate: 9.5% (13th highest)
07. South Carolina - Unemployment rate: 10.9% (4th highest)
06. Montana - Unemployment rate: 7.7% (18th lowest)
05. Louisiana - Unemployment rate: 7.6% (17th lowest)
04. West Virginia - Unemployment rate 8.1% (tied for 24th lowest)
03.Tennessee - Unemployment rate: 9.8% (11th highest)
02. Arkansas - 8.2% (25th highest)
and the number one poorest state in the union:
01. Mississippi Unemployment rate: 10.4% (7th highest actually look for someplace in MS to be our new HUB when it's cheaper than PHX.
Most if not all the state are "right to work" states..... Most if not all are "red" states......most if not all are on the verge of BK........how can that be?
So again what has the tea party and the anti labor movement done for these states?
Even with those nasty federal, aerospace, and automotive "union jobs in half of these states, with a republican majority that still are able to round out the top ten poorest states. Job well done.
Boeing "non-union" jobs are not going to fix that.
