What's new

revised displacement news

Good deal. About time some positive news started flowing....... Still sux for the PIT people, but much less destructive overall. Also, I would assume some of the recalls go to DCA/BOS which are really short for June... any news there?
don't know of any more news my friend. this was all i was told . i got to excited that i kind of hung up on the person who told me . lol .really do not know whre the 90 f/a's are going .i am assuming a good chunk will go to phl .

Like I said earlier, I don't like to hear of displacements at all. Being displaced myself like hundreds and hundreds of others here I surely don't think displacements from PIT are comming as a shock to anyone there. It would be pretty foolish to think otherwise. It's the incredible shrinking base. I got my boot June of 2003 with NO assistance to move due to them offering leaves. I am truly happy that nobody is losing a job and recalls are on the way.

gee.. didn't this happen last year too @ this time???

Good news for all the junior f/a's who would have been disrupted. Good luck to PIT folks.
and welcome back RECALLS

Anyone know how long the remaining recall list is on the East? With this reserve system, I would assume many would pass. At any rate, good news!

Great News. Thank you for listening to US! The recalls, I would imagine, will go to LGA, BOS, DCA and PHL. They cannot recall to CLT without posting openings first. (There are more than a few f/a's already online---waiting for CLT to open). What a nice turn of events! Welcome back to the 90 Recalls!!! 🙂

PS. Make sure you have a laptop for the ETB. You'll need to work on your off days to make up for the lost Per Diem you're not making---while sitting on OPR all month! <_<

When are we going to hear this from the horses mouth? While I am excited that there are going to be no displacements out of CLT I am still disappointed in management. Why does it take a crew news session in CLT for management to realize that displacing was a poor decision? Dave, Mike, and Scott need to get it together! As for Sherri she just needs to go away.

"I hear ya!"

Thrilled about the possible recall option.

A BIG thank you to the f/a's in the 3/22 Crew News for getting someone to Listen and follow through.

It's not on the Hub yet but then again click on "Inflight News" and you get 2006 info.

No, not cutting Ms Shamblin any slack. The position of VP of Inflight of a large airline is not for someone with "alot to learn". She should have known her staffing models. She should have known displacement info, especially coming into a Crew News in a city where displacements were going to happen. Another one that will have to work really hard to earn my respect.

Anyway, back to the potential good news. "yay" (claps hands a la Sherri) 😛

Sherri gets NO slack sorry. She is the VP of inflight and it's not a position of learn as you go and OOPS maybe just screw a few over in the process. KNOW YOUR JOB. KNOW YOUR PEOPLE. KNOW THE PROBLEMS. No excuse. Thank you all from the 3/22 session who spoke up. May the next one be filled with as passionate flight attendants fighting for whats right and being HEARD.

Sherri has been "cut some slack", repeatedly. I don't believe I need to waste space citing examples, so I'll just wait to hear from her via Catcrew. It will be her first correspondence to the East since 2006, so it should be refreshing.

What exactly does she do all day? She had no say on East displacements, no say on adding/ taking away F seats, so what does she do?

Again, glad that Kirby (shame it was not Sherri) took the bull by the horns and stopped a potentially devastating mess in Inflight. Kudos.

Yes, just exactly what hand did Sherri have in this news? She has NOTHING do do with displacements as the Inflight VP. Haaaaa. I'd like to get a little info on what it is she does. When I occasionally see her trotting through the airport with the dreaded "clipboard" as many management do, WHERE is she going and WHERE has she been? NOTHING seems to be her responsibility. Slack given. Edited to add one last thing. How many do ya all think they'll go through to get the 90 they need?

40 out of pit 0 out of clt and 90 f/a recalls for phl .good news .

recalls are for both phl and clt i beleive

Etops, this is great news. Where did you hear it? So far, I do not have a CBS message.

Will all this still happen by June 1st? And how much training will the recalls have to go through since they've been off the property for several years? Great news for all that were going to be affected!

It is a 3 day training in CLT. Requalification, recurrent, IST (international service training, if you are coming to PHL)
