revised displacement news

It is a 3 day training in CLT. Requalification, recurrent, IST (international service training, if you are coming to PHL)

This is not necessarity true. It all depends on how many recurrents you have missed. Someone that was out since the first furlough will have to do at least 2 weeks of requal, recurrent, EMB190, T/A, merger etc...........

It depends on which base for the T/A and EMB190
 
Exactly. Once again Etops is running around the boards working everyone up into a frenzy when no official announcement has been made. Wasn't this exactly what he did last year for months before the recalls were announced also? Of course last year it was the, "I know something you don't know...but trust me it's good news..." foolishness for several weeks before any official information was released regarding #'s and who and where may be affected.

Give it a rest already Etops! Let whatever news be released (or not released) as it should be and quit stirring up the drama again. :down:

it aslo sounds like someone is just jealous they did not get a heads up before anyone else.

I was out four and a half years and I went to eight days of training, and that was before EMB190 and merger training. I ended up having to spread it out to three weeks because of my personal schedule. I had 4 days of extended requalification (new hire training but at a much faster pace), 1 day of requalification, 1 day of recurrent, 1 day of translatlantic (total waste of time since I did it 6 years ago and learned nothing from it this time around and it was confusing even though I used to do transatlantic), A321 (never showed up for it 6 years ago LOL!), etc. If I would have had to do another day of training I would have screamed! Imagine coming back and having to do EMB190 and merger on top of all of that. Yikes!

Again, Pk is the one behind the displacments the finger is to be pointed at him just as much if not more than Sherry.

Also, can someone explain the horse references to Sherry. I don't get it.

Also, before everyone gets their hopes up. We are all going by hearsay information on the number of displacements and recalls. There has been no official word given.

Sherri should still know the facts and be able to explain them, not just say I am not crew planning.

Ok here's the deal: CLT and PIT are overstaffed. Basically, PK was just doing what the contract states he must do when a base(s) are overstaffed, and others are short: displace. One has to realize here that the cr@p the airline has gone thru in the past couple of months is the reason that Kirby made the (SMART) decision to rescind the CLT displacements and initiate recalls: EMPLOYEE MORALE.

SO while PK was going "by the book" and simply balancing the bases (according to our displacement verbage negotiated a long time ago), Kirby factored in the morale and "happy employees" factors. Nice job, Scott. We appreciate you listening.

we have had a rough couple of weeks . many employees have been beaten down to the core. i myself was one of the f/a's stuck on the taxiway for 5 and a half hrs while working a flt to fll. i will always say this and mean it. we have the best people at usairways . i work with them. i love them. they are truly my second family. posting this gave me so much joy. i am really not trying to stir the pot here. you guys have no idea what i try to do behind the scenes to try to make things better. the e-mails i write and the people i meet with. i am not trying to say it was because of me that they came to this decision but i had a 3hr meeting with mike finn last week . we had a very good dialouge.i let him know that displacing these f/a will be disruptive to their lives and that there were other ways to go about it by displacing people.actually sherri shamblin organized the meeting.i also told him that he needs to get out of his office and meet with the f/a group which he is doing tomorrow .i tell you guys who will be at that meeeting to ask away and let him know how you feel.let hm know that the reserve system sucks. beleive me i let him know .he seems like a very likable person. he really listened to what i had to say. i also told him to bring a body guard while he is at it lol. all i want is for the f/a group to have a better quality of life . that's all. so if this news gave everyone joy . i am really happy. take care guys i am going to bed now because i have a trip tomorrow morning . have a good night .and welcome back to our 90 recalls .

What exactly is this meeting about? I know it is about displacements and what they will be doing (f/a recalls, VPLOAs, etc.) but still...First I receive a letter saying I will probably be displaced from PHL. Then I receive this CBS message while thinking this is my last chance to voice my opinion before I am sent to LGA or BOS. Then I receive news that they will only be displacing PIT flight attendants. So, am I still in danger of being displaced out of PHL? I am at 40 something from the bottom. How many times is the company going to change their minds? Do I still need to attend this meeting? What is going on? It seems like the company always does stuff like this. They send out letters saying you will be furloughed, displaced, screwed, whatever. Then they come back and send another letter saying they won't be. Then they come back and say I will be. Then I won't be. It is an endless cycle. It's like the boy who cried wolf. I just never know when they are serious although every time I get one of their dreadful "you're screwed" letters, I do take it seriously.

BTW, MF said the meeting is only for those flight attendants who received displacement letters. Since I did receive a letter and the CBS message above regarding the meeting, am I still in danger? Is there something planned that I don't know about that they aren't sharing until tomorrow? What is happening here?

Oooh...how profund! Yeah OK,...whatever you say tough guy. Because that's all I care about...being the first one to spill the beans. Seriously man, get a life. Unlike yourself, I have far more important things to concern myself with than running to USAviation attempting to post news before allowing it to be released via other appropriate sources such as e-line. No one said you were wrong, ever consider some of us had the same info as you but just wanted to hear it firsthand from a credible source?

Perhaps you should instead work on posts that do not demonstrate a third-grade intellectual prowess?

Now Scooter's letter says that Sherri and Mike are in charge of crew planning. Now didn't Sherri say in the CLT smackdown that she was not crew planning. So ETOPS1 like everyone else is asking- What does she do? besides run and hide from information she should know.
