Mathmetically... How will having to pay the tax upfront affect people's behavior? Please don't say they'll all go on doing what they do now.

I think it has merit. I think emphasizing fiscal conservatism, thrift, saving over consumption, etc. would be good.

Question, at what cost to the economy.

I have bought exactly zero new cars, or houses, or most other big ticket items in the 35 years i have been working and supporting myself. (since I was 17, btw, your "benefactor " comment aside....). Obviously, somebody has to, eventually, but what effect would this have on the overall economy?

I still want to know who is pushing this. Where is the Big Money coming from?

Learning that answer re an effort to establish a flat tax in Missouri, made it suddenly verrry clear who was going to benefit.

Of course not. Nor did he show in CMH, or at any picket line, for that matter, but you already know that. By that point I'm not sure anyone was surprised?

Clint Eastwood, the 82 year-old film hero is coming. Tight security will prevent Eastwood from bearing arms and practicing his specialty.

Obama didn't show up in Wisconsin because internal polling showed Walker would win.

Maybe not... It's 23% of every $100...that means a $77 dollar item costs $100

That is more like 30%

Iit has to be adjusted every year

Since the family values folks did not get their dander up when a 20 yr rep was banging his mistress while his wife was hospitalized with cancer (who he married after cheating on his first wife) and he was leading a prosecution against a sitting president for getting a blow job while in office then proceeded to marry her as wife three who is about 20 years his junior. I seriously doubt that Eastwood would even pop up on their radar.

I have managed to go through life without watching a convention or a debate. For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would want to watch one. Conventions are infomercials and debates are so scripted and uninformative as to be useless. I'd rather watch the grass grow.
