Still time to give obama his pink slip. He has failed completly. Time to let somebody else see what they can do with the mess.
Michael Moore watched. He said we should start practicing saying the words "President Romney".
Watched it last night. Romney said about what i expected him to say.
Eastwood while clearly showing his advanced age in his adlibbed speech said two things that ring true. "We (the citizens of U.S.) own this country" and "If the elected officials don't do the job it's time to let them go"
I do find it comical that everytime the "You didn't build your business, Gov't did" speech comes up in a political show/interview a dem jumps up and says "He didn't say that!"
To me it's painfully clear that while probably meaning well Obama does not have a clue how to fix the issues we face. It's time for him to go.
Julias and Flukes most affected.Like wanting a small government yet wanting government to control every aspect of peoples private lives? hee hee.
I think he has a plan, but has run into people only interested in obstructing him from carrying it out. My fault w/Obama isn't that he doesn't have a clue (I think he does), but rather that he's spent too much time trying to appease the group across the aisle who have made it clear they can't stand him.
Please see if you can find the difference between the federal income tax rate and the capital gains tax rate ! Not saying it fair or right, but there it is !
She has changed quite a bit.
"I do say that I am in favor of the return of the guillotine and that is for the worst of the worst of the guilty.
"I first would allow the guilty bankers to pay, you know, the ability to pay back anything over $100 million [of] personal wealth because I believe in a maximum wage of $100 million. And if they are unable to live on that amount of that amount then they should, you know, go to the reeducation camps and if that doesn't help, then being beheaded," Barr said with a straight face.
Love the way Barrack and his posse push class warfare using Buffett and his secretary as an example, but they "NEVER" mention they're taxes are based on different types of taxes..............yeah Kev, not only do you, apparently, endorse class warfare and pitting Americans against each other, as long as it's your boy doing it, it's also ok to lie about it !
Why is it when someone says we should close a loophole or raise the top income tax bracket people like you repeat teh talk radio/Fox News mantra "CLASS WARFARE!" Yet when the middle class is on the recieving end of class warfare you are either silent or say idiotic things like "that's the way it is, to bad. Here's a news flash for you, the same thing could happen to you as has happened to many other people in this country.
Here's a quote for you.
We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy. [...] Do you think the millionaire ought to pay more in taxes than the bus driver or less?
I sugest you look up who said it before calling this person a socialist or something equally as stupid.
Still haven't heard from anyone who watched the show.
Romney paid what he has to according to the tax code. Do you blame him? If I made the same money i would try to minimize my tax burden also. We all do. I bet his 13% is way more than my 15%.So your saying it's wrong that you are paying a greater percentage of your income in taxes than Mitt Romney? Assuming of course that you are and are not on of those freeloaders who are mooching off the rest of us. It makes you either fool or a moocher.
#1 The 23% tax would replace just under 23% of imbedded taxes already there...........basically a wash
Maybe not... It's 23% of every $100...that means a $77 dollar item costs $100
That is more like 30%
Iit has to be adjusted every year
Wanna bet it never goes down?
#1 The 23% tax would replace just under 23% of imbedded taxes already there...........basically a wash
Mathmetically... How will having to pay the tax upfront affect people's behavior? Please don't say they'll all go on doing what they do now.
I think it has merit. I think emphasizing fiscal conservatism, thrift, saving over consumption, etc. would be good.
Question, at what cost to the economy.
I have bought exactly zero new cars, or houses, or most other big ticket items in the 35 years i have been working and supporting myself. (since I was 17, btw, your "benefactor " comment aside....). Obviously, somebody has to, eventually, but what effect would this have on the overall economy?
I still want to know who is pushing this. Where is the Big Money coming from?
Learning that answer re an effort to establish a flat tax in Missouri, made it suddenly verrry clear who was going to benefit.
