What's new

RNC

So go on back to your "Its a crime to be successful" and "all our problems are caused by the wealthy" soundbites.

You post nothing but talking points, aka sound bites.

I am sure all the vets that served and came home wounded or minus several friends are just thrilled they get to foot the bill for this 19 year old long haired nightclub band member to go to school on the GI Bill

Unless he is their son.

Now you are basing comments on whether or not something was a success or not? How about we just stick with the comment instead of trying to justify something. The business that Obama referred to were also successful What of it.

Yep, prices are up. That's typically what happens in a recession. As Ryan said, it will take quite a bit of time to dig our way out.
You are correct regarding the GI bill.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill

The Post-9/11 GI Bill also offers servicemembers the ability to share educational benefits with family members. In exchange for an additional service commitment, a servicemember may be able to transfer all or part of his or her earned benefits to spouses and children (including stepchildren). This is a first for the GI Bill and opens up new opportunities for servicemembers and their families.

GI Bill

Personally I think if you are willing to put your life on the line for your country, the least we can do is give your family an education.

I am willing to bet that the vets are thrilled about getting more benefits. Not like this country gives them much else. I bet they would be happier if they received better medical care or if the DoD actually recognized agent orange and the Gulf disorder. They might also like a salary that could get their family through the day without worrying about eviction. Instead we put a yellow ribbon on the car and call it a day. Yeaaaaaa team!!!

Perhaps you should check your COTUS and take a civics course or two. Obama could agree to shutter the military and sign over the deed to the WH for all I care. When you read the COTUS pay special attention to the part that talks about treaties and ratification. You may find it interesting (see I can be snarky too). As an aside, Obama was alluding to the fact that when the election is over more realistic negotiations can take place since people will not be trying to score points with the voters and are more likely to reach a substantive agreement.

I have family in Europe and have traveled there extensively as well. Two things that I would like to see here are universal health care (we are the only western nation who does not have it) and an efficient mass transit system. Yes we are different, some of those differences are good, some not. We were a super power, that day is past. Crack a history book or two while you are at it. No world power is ever lasting. They all fall at some point. I am not planning on leaving any time soon. I am trying to change it. I do have dual citizenship so if I need to bail I can do so.

But I am sure you have no idea what I am talking about. So go on back to your "Its a crime to be poor” and "all our problems are caused by the government” sound bites.

Well, maybe one drunken Iowan.

Now that drinking the Kool-Aid thing. Did you make that up yourself?

Barrack's new catchphase: "Stand with ME, work with ME" !

Still all about him I guess !

Would somebody please loan this idiot their library card? The answer is either a yes or a no, what's so hard?

Mr. Axelrod, I hope you have the Chump-in-Chief fully briefed by the time the debates roll around, the questions only get harder.

Gabby Gifford somehow got to be a villian for surviving.

Gabby was made into a hero for being a victim. She was not well liked in her district when I lived there, but since she was shot, nobody dared speak about her record or considered running against her.

Thankfully, people don't have that hesitation when it comes to running against her successor:

...and after you left her popularity skyrocketed.

Perhaps, but it hasn't helped Crispy Chicken (elected to fill out her term). He had to spend over $1M to fend off a primary challenger, and that's going to eat into what he has left for the November campaign...
