Yawn, just because there are pages and pages of 89 hires doesn't mean they run the place anymore. The reserves and the HP people are a bigger group, Flores and Corpse Austin can try to swing and soin all they like, but a different generation is in the spotlight this time. Whether they want to cater to them or ignore them, the end-all is always the vote.

When did the '89 group run anything?

The problem is that approximately 75% of the FA's are blockholders and I don't think there is any way whatsoever that 1/3 of them would support any contract or plan that would expose them to reserve.

You mean like the one the east has now?

Of that 75%, how many take the time to vote? Same amount as attend the union meetings?
If rsvs had a 90% turnout (no way there would EVER be 100%, which is quite sad) it could possibly go somewhere

This is the first time the MDA F/As get a vote- they were able to get their act together for a nearly 100% initial participation in a lawsuit, and before that, recall of a union official... add in all the other recalled F/As living under the horrible reserve system for just over $1000 a month... there's a whole other contingent this time.

East and West. The divide isn't geographical, but the fact that 75% of the FA's are blockholders, regardless of what company they previously worked for.

Hula, if anything were being voted on that had blockholders potentially being exposed to reserve I think the voter turnout would be 80%+, emphasis on the +.

you could be right, but I think the rsvs really need to push this issue.
I was a reserve for the better part of seventeen years. I have put in my time. I would definitely vote against
any system that put me back on it, even for a month. Once every other reserve has put in their "tour of duty" (minimum of 15years reserve) then come back and we'll talk. In the mean time  !

Having said that, I think this system is horrible and no one should be on it longer than 6 months.
The whole reserve system has to change. But I will not vote to go back on it, like I said, I have done my time.

mmmhmmmm, no attitude of entitlement there~

Just about everybody in this airline has "put in their time" including the reserves that have been stuck with this piece of #### rsv system. Because you suffered for 17 years, you dont believe it's right to correct the problem? Let the rest suffer? That is just plain ignorant.

I stated that the problem needs to be corrected. Read my post again.
No entitlement here. Isn't this post about how I would vote; whether I would want it or not?
I believe I clearly stated my position, don't you?

Most definitely would go for a rotation reserve. As a 19 yr flight attendant and sec b/h soon to go back on reserve in Feb, I would have no problem. Even the old system would be better that this lto mess.[ Have a happy new year everyone. Just hang in there. It has got to get better.

Unless you have been on reserve with this system at least two years....................

YOU HAVE NOT DONE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!

The old system is a cake walk compared to this one!!!!

Bitter? You're one to talk! Bother way, EMBFA is not bitter. She's right, you're wrong, and you can't handle that! At least she has her stories straight you pilot wannabe but never will be. Furthermore, she has been through more with this company than you have and she is still in good spirits and is one of the most professional f/as I know. PHL BULL, you my dear need help.
