Didn't Frontier voted AFA out ? Maybe we should do the same thing. Vote AFA out ! We should have an In-House Union.

CAREFUL! Let's wait and see what happens with the Northwest fight attendants, who voted out Teamsters. They are preparing for the same treatment as their mechanics. We have strength in numbers....it is up to all of us to make AFA the best that it can be. B)

I understand Teamsters is tough. No one has disagreed. They were just voted in to represent the CSR's and Reservation Agents at America West. Again though, AFA and Teamsters are not the only unions out there.

Thanks for everyones responses. I just like to read posts and keep that information filed away for a rainy day. It would be interesting too see P.F change her attitude once the merger is said and done and we are bringing in the money. Sometimes right now it just gets a little cold outside by yourself.

On another note, what a great group of passionate people. Just think how boring our NEW airline would be if we were all like lambs led to the slaughter. You may not all agree with each other but your determination says it all. When push comes to shove everyone is stepping up to the line. That is what make a great airline, the employees.

Thats right Hula - NWA flight attendants are getting ready to go through it. I saw in the Minn. news that they wanted to outsource 1/2 of the f/as with non unionized employees for international flying, absolutely amazing - obviously because they are paid the most. PRO AFA!!!

Taking your spin a little further..Parker & Lakefield have probably started the merger wave. Everyone has been saying there will be consolidation, why not start it so that it goes the way that most benefits your organizaition and people. AA, DL, and NW would be nothing but destructive to US or HP.

I think your right on PHX-F/A. It's right in line with the fact Doug and team is one-step ahead of the rest of the pact on the merger idea. Doug has a good reputation industry wide as being the trend setter. Let's all be glad that we have leadership with vision. To our new US Airway (soon to be) co-workers that are feeling giddy and optimistic about this merger....that makes us at AWA feel good too....it's the "synergy" Doug has been talking about already at work!

Synergy = In general, synergy (pronounced SIN-ur-jee, from Greek sunergia, meaning "cooperation," and also sunergos, meaning "working together") is the combined working together of two or more parts of a system so that the combined effect is greater than the sum of the efforts of the parts (2 + 2 > 4). In business and technology, the term describes a hoped-for or real effect resulting from different individuals, departments, or companies working together and stimulating new ideas that result in greater productivity.

They were never unionized, the AFA had an election at Frontier and they were not succesful.

And trust me, if you are an employee at will the company is free to do whatever they want to you when they choose.

Just ask the US Airways agents what happened in 1992 to them.

It wasn't pretty when we were not represented. That is why we now have CWA. Whether you like CWA or not, they definitely played a part in the company not giving us the complete shaft from day one. Is there room for improvement? Of course, but you have to start somewhere.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the seniority list for fleet service on line? I know I saw something about the hub, can I find the fleet service there as well? If yes where do I find the hub at? Thanks
