I had my first day (4 legs) cancelled for lack of C/O and no-one is assigned for tomorrow as of yet. Schedulers sounded defeated, I in my 20, I mean 6 years, I have never heard schedulers so subdued on the phone and said they were having a "real hard time today." I asked the scheduler, when she called to cancel my day, if she understood why this was happening and she said, "yes."

Bottom line, the west might be singing but will they be singing on the unemployment lines this summer?

The West didnt do anything! They as well as your "precious" East pilots could not agree to a fair way to integrate the senoirty list, it then went to an arbitrator to decide..now since both sides couldnt work on it themselves, it was left to an outsider to make the decision for them.

Did we cut in line when the non rev policy was decided to go Year of hire? NO! we accepted it and moved on...NOW that you didnt get what you wanted, you take it out on our passengers and cancel flights because you didnt get your way?? That is what puts the company in jeopardy and headed to a possible trip to bankruptcy! Get a life and accept it and move forward or just quit and let the rest of us be happy with whats left of a company to work for.

I don't know. All I saw were USAirExpress flights. They looked pretty much on time.So much for union solidaritybetween the "big 'uns" and the "yung 'ins",I guess. So when did USAir pull out of CLT? 😉 Is it now an "express station";or whatever you call it?

Go back and check the link. It covers a three hour period (3:00pm to 6:00pm). You can can change the time if you like.

In that three hour period there were 15 mainline planes scheduled into CLT. Six (6) of them (mainline) were late. One was 2 hours late, one an hour, and some 20-50 minutes.

No they didn't and the West was under no obligation to promise anything. USAir pilots should have no beef with the West.

It might be argued that the same cannot be said for the group that accepted 1.95% of USAir pilot's life earnings.

let me understand this. the pilots union which both west and east were the same just different "lodges" decided how to merge the seniority list without any input from the company and pilots are calling in sick and not flying since they are upset about what they did to themselves? I'm glad Doug and Scott thought up this plan to screw the unions once again. Good luck and I hope you figure out how to take it out on the union and not the company.

I totally agree. How does calling in sick force the company to change what the arbitrater? has decided. Is this not a total disconnect between what is really going on?

Sick calls my dears would definately put this company under. YOH was never in our contracts for non - revenue travel, it was always DOH. But shares cannot differentiate with an actual date. That is hillarious!

Whatever the east pilots want us to do, we WILL DO ! Was it Nixon that quoted the "domino theory"?

I don't know about you folks but I'm just waiting for this airline to go under so that I can qualify for unemployment. If I quit there won't be much money in the bank for a transition time to a new job. Just ridin' the pony 'til it collapses and dies.

First summer I will be able to have off since I was 13 ! Sounds like the best deal I've had with this company in 27 years! State Pa will go ballistic if we all collect, although they Rendell didn't save the day with Pit res closure. About how many employed in the state of PA for usairways?
