SICK CALLS UP BIGTIME

If there has actually been an increase in sick calls, I think you believe that has been an effort. My guess it's actually a lack of effort or indifference, or the I don't care about this company or job syndrome. Is it related to what just happened? Probably it is but not directly, just human nature taking over.

Refusing to negotiate a single contract to keep the list separatewould be a concerted or organized effort but that affects no one other than pilots or ALPA. Hard for anyone other than a pilot to complain about that.
Ya I would be sick too,I know.

It was the UAL dudes that expanded the factors to consider in a merger from just DOH to other things like how one dresses.
I found that to be true, thanks for the answer to my question.

A word of advice. Should you wish another union to support your efforts, you, personally, really should consider holding your tongue and staying off the keyboard.
AS for this smart a$$ remark, I have been around the airlines all my life and the flight crews front and back for the most part don't care about any one but themselves and walk right by picket lines and run airlines in the ground Case in-point UAL so don't even try to blow smoke up my tail pipe. Just Remember, You Fly When I Say You Can Fly, So Your Arrogant A$$ On The Ground Is Mine. Have a nice day!

He could easily respond and say be ready to work because because if one thing is out of compliance it goes in the log book and I'll be enjoying my coffee while you work you a$$ off. You know what you have then? Eastern airlines where in the end everyone hated not just management but each other. Your management really has to be sipping champaign at this moment. I feel bad because all of you are going to get hosed by this and will effect the rest of the industry.

So are we to just sit back and take the loss of 14 years seniority with no fences; resulting in West pilots senior to me, who were hired at AWA after I was a 737-300/400 Captain at U, etc.?

I bet the boys at ValueJet and SW are just loving this----BTW classmate of mine left over a year ago to ValueJet as a checkairman on 700---what a good move it turned out to be.

What so new about this? When the flight deck is mad MX works, When the F/a's are mad MX works, When the Ramp is mad MX works, And when MX is Mad MX has to work. Just how hard and how fast we work is up to MX. Have you ever dumped a Lav? (sh!t goes down hill and MX is the bottom)I have got use to it, It's a part of the job. Have a nice day! B)

Your fight is with your union ALPA. We the other employees of this airline did nothing to you so why beat us up and I hate to say this but Parker and company had nothing to do with it either. DOH is the best way to do a merger so as a west (MX) person that is just how I feel. The Person's In this airline that should have the most respect are the Poor under paid gate agents who have to put up with the PAX's when a flight is CLDX because the crew is mad at it's union and takes it out on the company. Can you see my point on this? That agent did nothing to you. I do wish you the best of luck. Have a nice Day. B)

The point is: we must leave nothing to the Westies. They asked for and got our seniortiy, our attrition, all of our future Captain seats. There is NO Recourse for the East, except to perform a slash and burn retreat. I am sorry for everyone else, but life sucks.

You know the company did nothing in regard to this arbitration, yet you want to punish the passengers for YOUR OWN leaderships lack of ability.

You voted for them, you kept them in office with every concession, now you are paying for it.

You pilots got screwed by your own fellow pilots and you want to punish the other employees, passengers and the company, makes no sense to me.

Shows all about your lack of character and lack of taking responsibility for your choice of leadership.

I don't always agree with your posts but this was well said.

We never asked for your seniority we never asked for your future Captains seats(which by the ways was no future without the merger). You need to stop making it all the west fault and start placing the blame where it truly belongs(here are some examples where to place your anger, ALPA, USAIRWAYS MEC, BK 1&2,)

Some fun facts using as an example someone who is fairly young at the unmerged airline. Through attrition only he would arrive at SN 95 at age 60, the arbitrator's placement of this pilot places him now at SN 953 on his last day. So just how many of those 854 spots were AWA jobs?

Those in their last 10 years fare far, far worse. What exactly could a joint agreement offer any of these pilots? If you can't see past your new yet to be implemented number to what this means for the profession, good luck. I would be spending those long period overnights working up some new skills because this lopsided award has ensured this group will never come together.

That isn't anger at you or the arbitrator it just is a fact of human nature.
