SICK CALLS UP BIGTIME

Why are you making the passengers suffer because YOUR UNION made a decision? The passengers had NOTHING to do with this. Stop paying your dues if you do not like the decision because YOUR union made the decision, not the fools in Tempe, not the west pilots and certainly not our passengers!

Passengers suffer? Surely you jest!!!!

You take the lowest fare available, US, and you complain?
Hint: Never take the lowest bid.

Like buying cheap food from China where they use rat poison for filler. Then you get all huffy because a couple of people die. I mean, Bush has been saving you money by closing down much of the FDA. What are you complaining about?

The pilots on the property gave upwards of 70% of their salary to protect their benefits, retirement and seniority.

Then, the pilots gave up their benefits to keep their retirement and seniority.

Then, the pilots had their retirement taken away, but, "we have our seniority".

Now they took away their seniority. But, somewhere in there, they let pilots carry guns.

To reiterate. The pilots at US gave up (substantial) salary, benefits, retirement and now, their seniority. But, they can carry loaded guns and wear leather jackets. Am I the only person to see a problem, here? Is our society sick or what?

Just think of it this way. The pilots have traded "on time" in order to preserve safety. 🙂

Americans are really bad at risk assessment........ it is the only reason Glass and Bush have a job.

The point is: we must leave nothing to the Westies. They asked for and got our seniortiy, our attrition, all of our future Captain seats. There is NO Recourse for the East, except to perform a slash and burn retreat. I am sorry for everyone else, but life sucks.

Geez, You need to take some time off or seek professional help. I know your plight but you sound a little scary to me.

Still don't get why your mad at the company for something YOUR UNION did. Just remember something too, those concessions you took and whatever else you did.. was to preserve the company as long as possible. The company you did that for, no longer exists. This is a new company, new ownership, same name. You were weeks away from liquidation, at least you have a job right now.

Vote out your union if you have an issue. The FAs at NWA did.

I hope you mean what you say and do something that gets you fired.

Have a nice day.

Your so brain dead you surely will get caught.
Start firing people. THAT will surely get things running smoothly. Even the moderates on the fence won't be after that wise move...

I get his "GUN" thing and I hope to God you are 100% WRONG!! I don't want to be afraid to work...GEEZ.

You been raked over coals by The Company, A Judge, The PBGC, your own ALPA and now a Arbitrator. Why are you just now going to the window yelling "I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore"?

I have not seen any celebrating out west.

I did. I was in PHX the day the list was announced. Looking at AWA guys stare at the list on laptops every 50 feet was like looking at a bunch of cats that had just eaten a mouse with the tail still hanging out of it's mouth.

Smiles everywhere and most looked like they were just walking on air.

Made my stomach turn. I got bumped off my original flight... had to wait 9 hours in that airport watching the same thing over and over. It was Xanadu.

Piney, it is simple. Don't leave with sick time in the bank.

I did. I regret it and I have few regrets.

The West didnt do anything! They as well as your "precious" East pilots could not agree to a fair way to integrate the senoirty list, it then went to an arbitrator to decide..now since both sides couldnt work on it themselves, it was left to an outsider to make the decision for them.

Did we cut in line when the non rev policy was decided to go Year of hire? NO! we accepted it and moved on...NOW that you didnt get what you wanted, you take it out on our passengers and cancel flights because you didnt get your way?? That is what puts the company in jeopardy and headed to a possible trip to bankruptcy! Get a life and accept it and move forward or just quit and let the rest of us be happy with whats left of a company to work for.

I can't believe your arrogance. At the stroke of a pen, the lives of most of the east coast pilot group changed. Just like that. Some F/O's will never be able to check out as C/O before they retire. Some will never be able to fly the widebody's they might have been close to getting a bid on. Now, you have a 20 year E pilot junior to a 3 year W pilot...

That's like saying, I'll practice to parralel park in this VW bug... but when you go take the test they give you an 18 wheeler.... with just reverse....and no power steering...and only one try... and if you don't make it on your first try, they will pull your liscense and fine you a kabillion dollars...

Ya see how unfair... or do ya want me to paint another picture for you...

Just my opinion...

I can't believe you let it get to the point of going to binding arbitration thus putting putting your "lives" into the hand and pen of an arbitrator and then have the nerve to blame anyone else but yourself. #### and moan all you want but put the blame where it rightly belongs.

Back on topic...I've heard sick calls are not a big deal and pilots on east are actually picking things up. Any one have any numbers? Any agents on here from East operations?
My guess is this news hasn't been heard by all yet.

If you can't recognize that there are people who are simply not in a state of mind to fly for a few days then you are simply unaware of the reality that many USAir pilots are experiencing.
"not in a right state of mind to fly"???? Translation: i'm not happy with a decision so I'll just sit at home and pout. grow up.

Were the west FA's not in a right state of mind when it went DOH? Were the west employees not in a right state of midn to work when boarding went to YOH?
