Strictly out of curiousity, is MKE staffed with M/L employees? If so, are they "originally" HP employees, US, or both? I know US had M/L service there once, but it looks like only West routes now, with CLT, PIT and PHL being EMB's and CRJ's.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

They are neither US/HP mainline... Agents are combined there now, so it's just new US employees, foremly there were both there.

MKE is a "Mainline Express" station for US East. IIRC, it was one of the first station where ramp was kept in-house as an ML E station. In first couple of rounds of stations going ML E, the ramp was outsourced since there was no provision for ML E with the IAM contract. Now that the ML E payscale is being brought back to mainline pay rates (in stages), there will only be a few differences between mainline and ML E.

Sorry, Kev. No such service to MKE from PIT for two+ years now. When we did have it, it was a pretty sure thing that the flight was full. For a while Midwest was serving MKE from PIT, and they might still on occasion.

Thanks to everyone for the info! I could have sworn that it was one of the ones that was MLE'd/outsourced/what have you, but a friend of my from MKE (at NWA) mentioned a "USAir employee" in passing during conversation yesterday, which piqued my curiousity.

Oops...Sorry, I was going off memory from what I looked up yesterday in PARS...

If they give you the Stepford Stare and try to charge you all sorts of fees without first looking at your ticket fare code, it is definitely a Westie, i.e., HP

If the post is cynical and degrading, it is definitely from an Eastie (see above).. give it a rest already!

MKE had/has West Ramp staff... not sure what the current arrangement is though.

Can't speak of US Airways East employees but MKE was staffed with America West employees. Not sure what the current situation is since the merger.

Since you know nothing about the HP staff in MKE, why don't you just do us all favor and keep your mouth shut?

The agents, and especially the ramp in MKE are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

You don't know who I know and what I know. I am self-important. Drink some more kool-ade. and while you are at it, get me a vodka and tonic, green lime, extra cup of ice and some generic pretzels...I paid 49 bucks for my ticket and I am going to drink my money's worth....OKAY

Oh trust me, there is a word for you and I don't give a ##$@ who you know

In case it's unclear, the MKE employees are a combination of AWA and Express. I know this because I live there. I also remember the "good ole days" when I flew for Chautauqua and MKE was served by mainline. We just abandoned those D gates for the brand-new terminal addition on the C concourse. Verrry nice.

I always had fantastic service out of MKE. Your post is out of line and just nasty. Sorry you hate your job, too bad you have to try to infect others.
