Thanks for your post, flybynite. I have observed, but have not posted. We airline employees really have to stop taking everything so seriously. Some things are out of our control. While I think we all have a right to our opinions, that doesn't give us a right to act out when someone has a differing opinion. Most of us have so much more in common than we do that is different.

Your right, we have little control over this mess, were along for the ride.

Everyone just needs to take it one day at a time. Our economy is teetering on the verge of shambles, and is going to get worse before it gets better. Internationally, our dollar will keep losing value and it will keep pushing the price of fuel up.

On a possible good note, air travel is transportation, and transportation is INFRASTRUCTURE. I don't believe our government will let the entire industry self destruct. it can't. The unlucky first handful of carriers who fall will ultimately lose out, but as we get down to the "last ones standing", the government will step in.

The industry may end up reinventing itself, but it will not disappear in the process...
