Black Friday Protests at Walmart Staffed by Professional Activists

Report: Few of the protesters actually work at Walmart

The Black Friday protests at a Walmart in Washington state featured more paid union activists than actual employees, according to a new report.
The Freedom Foundation, a Washington free market think tank, found that the majority of protesters in the Evergreen state were “paid union activists” and that few Walmart employees participated in the protests.

The Freedom Foundation revealed that only three of the 15 arrestees were actual employees. The rest were union activists with ties to the UFCW, public employee unions, and other far left organizations.

Ryan Williams, spokesman for labor watchdog Worker Center Watch, told the Washington Free Beacon that organizers generally arrange arrests ahead of time in order to gin up more media attention.

“They don’t have the support of real workers, so they rely on the support of paid actors and stand-ins with union affiliations,” he said. “They’re protests held by professional protesters, oftentimes paid and given media training, to cause a scene for publicity.”

Public employee unions are a far left organization?

AFL-CIO run by commie socialists, go figure.

Richard L. Trumka, the president of the A.F.L.-C.I.O., distressed about declining union membership, has thought of a way to increase his membership by millions. He now wants to include non-union workers from companies that chose to NOT unionize.  He doesn’t care about the law and the rules, he will use the back door to get what he wants no matter how opposed to American values it is. In fact, it is the opposite of what unions once stood for.

He is also looking to increase his power by allowing leftist groups to join, groups such as La Raza, Moms Rising, NAACP, Sierra Club (now home for many of the former ELF criminals), LGBT groups, and any other far-left group he can think of.

People refer to these groups as Progressive as they did in the early 20th century, but for the sake of this article, let’s call them what they are, Communists. The euphemistic name, Progressive, obfuscates their true goals.

3 Reasons Fast Food Joints Shouldn’t Pay Workers $15 an Hour

IMHO,
Raising the "Federal" min wage to $15 an hour is ridiculous.
True, some areas need a higher minimum wage, SF,NYC, etc... But that should be determined by the city and/or county.
In SF the min wage is 10.74, in San Jose the min wage is 10.00.
Rural areas do just fine with a Federal min wage of 7.25.
Kommiefornia has a min wage of 8.00 regardless of where you work.
Maybe wall mart, Kmart, McDonald,etc... can afford a min wage of 15.00 across the board, but the little mom & pop shops will take a huge hit and possibly go out of business.
Personally, I pay my employees way above the 8.00 wage, some much more.
My new hires start at min wage and have to prove themselves for a raise.
It wouldn't be fair to pay a new hire $15.00 an hour and keep everyone else at the same pay scale so I would have to give raises proportional to everyone which would put me in the RED.
What do you think my customers would do if I doubled my prices?

Yea well, f#*&k me as I am a greedy CEO that deserved to go bankrupt.
Never mention the 15 employees out of a job, 15 not paying taxes (of which I pay half FICA/Medicare).
No more sales tax (no business==no tax).
Collateral damage for the dimwits that wonder why small business fail.

I encourage the SEIU to spend more of their naïve union members dues on this laughable campaign to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. I hope they squeeze their members for every dime they can get out of them then squeeze them some more!  In the highly unlikely event that they succeed in their quest, the fast food industry is prepared to lay off 98% of their counter clerks and fry-vat operators and replace them with automation.

The only people that don't understands that 99.99% of the US population knows how to use an Ipad style ordering system and robots can cook perfect fries, work for the SEIU! One thing for sure, the SEIU will never get one dime of union dues from the like of McDonald's.

I went to one of the "fast food" protests last week. Nobody protesting was actually a fast food worker -- they were mostly SEIU "professionals" and retirees who showed up as a group, plus a few of the Occupy crowd who has been feeling somewhat neglected now that nobody takes them seriously...

The protesters were supposed to be there for 90 minutes, but left after less than an hour, pretty much the point where they realized there were more of us coming to support the McDonalds they targeted than to actually support them thanks to one of the local radio stations.

Here's one of the "angry white men" radio hosts:

The owner of the McDonalds was quite grateful for the added business, I might add. So were the towing companies who showed up to tow the protesters' car from his parking lot.
