With John McCains FL. victory tonite, "Rudy" throwing his support to JM, and Huckleberry sticking aroung JUST long enough to steal right wing WACKO votes from Romney,......it NOW appears that 1 of the 3 Individuals will be the next POTUS.

1. Hillary
2. "BO"
3. Johnny MAC

I can even "live with" the #3 choice.
Things are ALREADY looking up

(Anyone think ol' HUCK is hanging around for a VPOTUS spot) ??

Major dissing by fat Ted........can Ted carry the Latino Ca. vote to big 'O'?
He's supposed to go to the left coast and campaign......
Notice Hillary canceled all interviews??
She's on suicide watch.....

DELL,
They say, if one lives long enough, they will see/hear things that seemed Impossible !

If I didnt know any better, I'd swear I read a veiled ENDORSEMENT....From YOU...for TEDDY KENNEDY

Naw...you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and Clinton's.

She owes it all to Bill......

I suppose the sun would still shine under McCain or the Big 'O'.

I survived Carter and Clinton......isn't the first Dem prez I had to deal with.

Knew old Fat Ted would come in good sometime.

How's Hannity say it? The stop Hillary Express?

Do endorsements really have an affect? How many people are going to walk into the voting booth and think, Hugh Hefner endorsed so and so. Ron Jeremy endorsed so and so….. I guess so and so will get my vote.

I must say this is the first general election which is getting my attention. Regardless of which Dem wins, it will be ground breaking. If McCain gets the Repub nomination which I never till now thought was possible much less likely, it could turn into a real horse race.

McCain supports a failed president and is way to liberal for the conservative side of the Repub party but, he is moderate and fairly honest as far as politicians are concerned. If you believe the folks on TV most elections are won and lost by the independents. Depending on how Clinton and McCain (I am not convinced Obama can pull this off as much as I would like him too) cater to the middle of the road, McCain has a really good shot of beating Clinton in the general as long as he does not go nuts on us. I would rather have Clinton over McCain but as long as McCain does not go for more activist judges who want to re-write the constitution to mirror the bible then I am fine.

This is going to be an interesting 10 months.

Guess we'll see if endorsements really help or not when JE takes sides, of course he's probably not as influential as a 'Ron Jeremy' would be.

McCain would be my second choice behind Romney if Thats my only choices.

...And yes, 'Obama' over Hillary anyday of the week!

While I completely understand your point, it is not very often when a strict constitutionalist is called an activist judge. I'll take a judge who constantly looks back to the 1700's for guidance over a judge who says "this is what I think it ought to be, and now I will dig up some support."

One of my major concerns about Hillary is who she may nominate. I am familar with some of Obama's constitional scholar-type friends and I would be fine with most of them on SCOTUS. I can only assume that McCain would follow in the same line as the Bush family in that regard.

Any you never know... there could be some suprises like in the Reagan era.

Not sure who you think is a strict constitutionalist but Roberts, Thomas, Alito and Souter all seem to be more than willing to read things into the USC that is not there but I guess that is all up to debate depending on how one interprets the USC.

The main reason I use that term is because a lot of Right wingers say the same about the appointments made by Dem POTUS. The judges have become political appointments. They seem for the most part to keep in line with the standards under which they were hired. Every now and then you get an O'coner in there who strays. I get the feeling the latest round that W hired will not stray.

Just my opinion.

BTW, I am of the opinion that McCain will be more centrist with his appointments. His opinions (when he is not flip flopping to win votes) seem to be fairly middle of the road. He is Pro-choice, he was in favor of gay rights but dumped that view point to get the conservative vote. I guess they hate gays more than they hate abortion but I don't know why. Maybe 700 can chime in on the irrational rights view points. I just think he would be less of a concern than say Romney or Huckelberry.

He may be a centrist on social issues, but economically he's into the same neo-con plutocratic pablum that all the GOP candidates have as their keystone, with the exception of Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul. ( of course the front-running Dem candidates WILL govern this way as well, albeit with a smile and clinton-esque double-speak )

Illegal immigration stance is completely aligned with the Rudy, Lindsay Graham, GWB camp. Lip service to the economic and social ills it causes, and completely beholden to the cheap-labor corporatists.

He's also not very bullish on airline employees. Actually, I think he's got a few screws loose. Saw him on C-span years back and he was _literally_ raving like a lunatic on how airline employees were excessively compensated. Even factoring in a "let's beat up on airlines" du-jour PR boners, it still makes one think: If this guy's hate can manifest itself even in a setting requiring some decorum, you wonder what he really thinks, and would really do.

Hillary is unelectable in the general election.

How'd you like to be in her presence when this fact dawns upon her?

The nation has endured a generation of Bush/Clinton/Bush presidencies.

Time for a fresh voice.

Question: how many voters do you supposed will be turned off from Obama when they discover his middle name is 'Hussein' ??

"WKOFH",

(Being The Intelligent person that you've always shown to be on here)...I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU MADE THAT STATEMENT ABOUT HC's electability in NOV.

McC Is "DOA" in Nov, because of his wanting not only to continue EL CHIMPO's Iraq policy, HE WANTS TO FURTHER BEEF IT UP !!!!

People, GOP + DEMS need to read the political "tea leaves"....like the 2006 congressional elections, like the MASSIVE number of Dem voters turning out in these primarys.

IMHO, there is a Democratic "MASSACRE" shaping up !!

(maybe Limbaugh and Hannity...will "OFF Themselves" right on the air)

Good grief Bear.

Get of your horse and smell the roses for a sec. If Clinton get the nomination the idea of a slam dunk is not a foregone conclusion. The only way that happens is if the republicans hatred of Clinton is not superseded by their mistrust of McCain. If the Repubs look at McCain as the lesser of two evils and someone they can live with becasue the idea of having Clinton back in office is revolting to them then this could turn out to be a real horse race.

I have no doubt that if Obama gets the nomination, with a good running mate like Edwards, Clark, Richardson ... etc he will turn McCain in the mop and clean the floor.

Bottom line, don't underestimate the hatred that people have for Clinton, and don't underestimate the distrust that people such as my self have for Clinton.
