trip report - BWI - CLT - Aruba

Yes, I have flown SW several times and I think they are quite genius. I put US in a category with Ryan Air. Yes, they are ultra cheap to fly compared to US, but Michael O'Leary and US management share the same brain when it comes to the customer.

I liked the service that US had under Stephen Wolf era. He at least had US with some of the best service. I dont know why they cant bring some of that back

My wife and her friends flew to Aruba on US Airways. Her short response: lousy service.

The flight attendants spent twice as much time hawking credit cards, cigarettes, purses, toys, etc. as providing service. Their guess is that it is US Airway's new method of keeping costs down on beverage service: "No, you can't have another soda--but how about a credit card?"
BWIPILOT: It's not the crews fault; the airline expects the crews to do the service, if they have to sell this and that, and don't do it, then they lose their jobs!!! Don't blame the crew, blame management!

Well, I'm not sure if Loopie (sp?) still flies that flight, but she is wonderful. I really like her. She used to fly the A position.
If she's still working that one regularly, I'm sure I would recognize her. The captain is the only one I've ever met that greets people as they enter or on the jetway. He was smiling and talking with passengers, I had a hard time believing he worked for US.
