According to a US Airways spokesperson, two passengers and two flight attendants were hospitalized.

The passengers and one flight attendant were released from a Denver hospital Monday, but another female flight attendant is still in the medical facility, according to the airline.

The aircraft was descending? Oh, let me guess...the injured flight attendants were trying to prepare the cabin for landing. The injured passengers either did not have their seatbelts on despite the sign and the pa, or they were the "I never go to the lav until the captain says prepare for landing" crowd. Am I close?

No.

Really sorry to hear that. I wish them a speedy recovery.

I can remember descending over the front range one time in a Metroliner and just getting rocked. Luckily we had slowed because of reports of moderate turbulence and of course in the mighty Metro there were no flight attendants or bathrooms for the passengers to get up for.

Bottom line is everyone is alive, and other than a little bumped up, more or less ok. Can we all live with that? No fault, no blame, no complaints......

It happened, it's over, everyone is basically ok.....

Always wear your seat belts, EOM!

That's sheer genius!...Indeed; the quality of great wisdom that can only come from a cubicle! Now, just kindly explain how FA's can accomplish their duties while doing so: "but another female flight attendant is still in the medical facility, according to the airline."

My point was not to minimize the injuries sustained or the seriousness thereof-it was to try to stop whatever fingerpointing and blame being assigned for turbulence.

My apologies if my point was not clear....it just seems that in EVERY single thread someone has to complain about a labor related issue...and in this case it was not appropriate.

Not speaking to the FA's but the general flying public, not wearing your seat belt is a great risk. One unfortunately the FAs cannot avoid.
But thanks for being a jerk anyway!

Knees were crushed by the male FA coming down on top of her.

Eeesh! Not good. That's likely an hour and a half at the minimum on the table, with possible follow ups required...and several months of "not fun". I wish her and all those injured the very best. Not that it should be any issue here, but I also hope for no useless grief being tossed at the pilots. That chunk of sky's known for slipping in completely random sucker punches without any fore warning. Sometimes...there's just no way of predicting/avoiding such things.
