By telling people to vote no you are asking them to vote away all those things you mentioned plus their jobs. How can an elected union official tell them to do that without advising them of the very real and strong possibility that the contract will get abrogated when they do vote no? Sounds like your withholding of the facts is a legitimate DFR. Especially if I lost my job over it.

And Chuck how is that construction and marriage counseling business going? I though that was your ticket out of here. Guess the grass is not that greener on the outside. Easier to accept your TWU negotiated wages, work rules, and TWU salary then really man up and go get one of those thousands of high paid jobs you reference. UPS, jetBlue, and WN wouldn't hire you would they. You had since 2003 to go hire on with them. What happened?

So now you attack Chuck for working a couple of jobs to make ends meet, and for being willing to stick around and fight for the guys who elected him to office. You chide him for not taking the easy way out. typical TWU/IBT stooge, always looking for the easy way out vote yes let someone else fight for you sign a teamster card because the same people who said stick with the TWU in 03 will. That statement right there proves you should re-read the points of concern or if you feel you are well versed in what the intentions are then you have missed the point totally and probably will never grasp it for lack of focus or lack of interest or you just like being against the grain. Whatever the case may be if you were truly paying attention , Again "Make others Feel Welcome" should have been replaced in your sentence with "Make it more Professional". I have a feeling you would try to argue with a wall if nobody was around and you had no net connection so seeing you grasp what we are trying to convey is most likely impossible and I am good with that. Can't win them all I guess.



That in my Opinion deserves no more attention than what I am giving it here. The comments that could affect ones employment such as that should be left for PM but I don't expect you to grasp that one either. You are a True Exception to Tact and Professionalism, Whatever you do, don't ever change and Please start and always use Go AMFA when posting stuff like this. ;) The IBT or TWU will most likely thank you one day.

They are one and the same you just do not know it yet we are over two months in and the TWU still has not said one thing about their partner the teamsters and you think their is a difference LMAO at you.

Ex. We as a group pay somewhere around 700,000 dollars a month to the TWU to represent us, we cannot elect recall or control in any way those who are misusing our money. So we are dissatisfied with their leadership and seek change, you promote change to a organization with the very same structure as the one you are presently in and when presented with the facts that you will be right back to square one if we change to the teamsters, infact in some ways like being thrown into giant locals where we will have no say, it will be worse. Your only response is you do not care you just want rid of the TWU, we on the other hand say if you are going to change you need to control your own money and leadership with a constitution like AMFA"s Go read the constitution of the teamsters and see all the appointed postions and they will use them just like the TWU to reward those who saleout the membership if you cannot see how this infuriates those of us who have done the research and know the truth and are not simplly running around like a chicken with its head cut off I do not know what to tell you.

The AMFA recall of National Officers is not as simple as you try to inject here. It is however rather complicated and involves more support from their locals within a region than you either don't understand or don't know. Maybe you could offer a "virtual example" based off their constitution as how a recall would play out. We do have a diciplinary based recall within the TWU constitution.

Yea your diciplinary based recall will go to one of the executive concils of the TWU, who will then be judge and jury that is like saying horton can be recalled by the board of directors so if the employees #### about him do you think the BOD will remove horton, yea right. AMFA's recall is based on a percentage of the membership so for a local officer it would be a percentage of the local and a regional officer a percentage of the region etc etc AMFA's is membership driven and the twu's is all appointed leadership driven. so you do not pass goal and do not collect 200 dollars.

So with the National Officers of the AMFA it is a regional percentage of the locals and these locals are made up of members of other airlines represented by the AMFA. Lets say you had a complaint about how you were being represented by an AMFA National Officer at your airline but the other members within the region were not in support of your complaint in representation, how would you get them on board with you to drive that National Officer out of office?

What can I say but I really enjoy reading your post's, A Man that is the same behind a keyboard as he is in person, Imagine that.
I think the keyboard warrior's are dwindling & giving way to civility.
Buck I too would suggest some things are better meant for personal Messaging, the company does peruse bulletin boards, they don't need any help eliminating heads.
I for one couldn't care less what you do on company time, your quite civil & respectable in person .... no reason not to be that way when behind a keyboard. B)

The controls that you and Tynker are suggesting are best left for the Socialist states of the world. The only type limited speech I concur with is yelling fire in a theater and no one is yelling fire in this theater. Some of you are getting your feelings hurt in general and some by the truth that you do not want to hear. Instead of limiting the speech of the users here, it would be best if you plied your trade in another environment. Yes there are some post I don't agree with and some I don't like, but I give every user the right to post under this domains rules as posted. It is up to the moderator to judge, not the users. Concentrate on the purpose of this forum and explain why the TWU, the IBT and AMFA are the choice for me and the users of this forum.

Can anyone explain to me why the mechanics are left at the bottom of their pay scale at American Airlines?

Ostrasize : to exclude from a group by common consent

Sure I have the right to ostrasize anyone who can't act civil in fact anyone who chooses to has that right, it basically means everyone ignores Individuals who can't act like professional Adults because they have no self control, there is nothing wrong with being upset because someone doesn't think the same way as you do heck we all get upset about that from time to time but there is something wrong with being a bully from behind a keyboard, anyone who doesn't have some self control has got way more serious problems than what Union there in for sure & I'm surprised their still employed .... oh wait no i'm not because most of the hostile types are only hostile when hiding behind a keyboard not when there standing in front of the individual, I personally like Big Mac idea on how to handle that :rolleyes: being angry is fine but we can all practice self control, Don no one is stopping you from getting AMFA in at AA if you can make it happen then that's great good luck with that, I'm fine with either AMFA or the Teamsters neither will effect my situation so do whatever works best for you, I suspect that beating the Teamsters in a card drive will be very difficult thought but hey knock yourself out in every contest there are winners & Losers so you will either win or Lose.
More than likely we will end up with the TWU anyway in my opinion.
 
High speed you talk alot and know little. Some people make sacrifices and I have, dueto their isn't enough time in a day to cover everything I need. But I have covered everything that was asked of me by my members and my family. You can try to cut me down but anyone that knows me knows the sacrifices I have made in a leadership role. I have nothing to prove to you and your rhetoric. I put in many hours unpaid.
I do alot of pro-bono work because our members do not have the cash to pay me.
but i do it because it is the right thing to do and help people in need.
with this proposal I will probably do alot more pro-bono work but thats OK you dont have to worry about that.
It is a sad day when someone like yourself who claims to be intelligent and favors a management contract.
Anyone I show this proposal to feels sorry for me and that is embarrassing! then when I tell I belong to a union they gasp and say really! Followed by "thats a shame".
so is it just me or is everyone wrong who speaks against this?

I'm not trying to cut you down Chuck. All I was doing was showing you there are options available by voting this TA in. If it is voted down then most likely the contract will be abrogated and we will be in even a far worse position. It is good that you take extra time to represent your members as you do and I admire that. I just wanted you to consider the big picture if you hadn't already...

Buck for me it's not a matter of which one is the best it's a matter of which one is likely to win, a 500lb Gorilla is most likely going to beat the piss out of the 100lb Gorilla & the 300lb Gorilla, when it's all said & done resources make a lot of difference in who win's the game.
If AMFA is your choice I would suggest hustling cards everyday at lunch time & break time, it's very hard work but if you want it bad enough then it will be a labor of love, I for one don't want it bad enough anymore, one more decent contract is all I really need.

EVERY Constitutional change and the retirement was voted on by the membership.

You can continue to lie all you want, but with every TWU the truth will prevail.
Gotta love that TWU EVIL and attempts prevail at all cost.
Then where s the vote? The motion? Hmmmm....
