So I am being told that the TWU Bus that us members pay for the gas, lease, insurance, driver, etc. is now used as a backdrop for International Reps daughters weddings.

Besides being a pathetic backdrop, what are your thoughts?

I can see where and how this is advancing the profession of Aviation Maintenance.

satire of course

Union dues at work. Seriously, I feel bad for you guys with such incompetent, self serving "representation".

Josh

Do you think that the union suckees who frequent this board will rush to defend the totally worthless union?

Her's my thoughts; Looks like the TWU is following the IBT as their own doings will be the nail in the coffin. The IBT did a wonderfull job of this when we fired them from SWA. The internet is a wonderfull thing, use it to your advantage. Yes, all the expenses endured by said bus will be paid for by all your dues. Who the hell would want their fathers union as a backdrop at their wedding? I would not allow it at my daughters wedding that's for sure...

So what would the TWU rampers and flight attendants at Southwest think of this use of their dues money? 😉

Hmm.. I have seen people post and brag about being on welfare; why wouldn't a union officer brag about his freebies? ( like trips to vegas for conventions or weddings.) Do you think they all wore bowling shirts?

Were they twu bowling shirts?

WEDDING PLANNING

A wedding is a ceremony in which two people are united in marriage or a similar institution. In a wedding specifically a man becomes a groom & a women becomes a bride. It is a social ceremony that allows a couple to introduce their spouse to each others relatives, and their dads friends who came for the free booze and a bus ride. Wedding traditions & customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, unions, & those artificially elevated above their natural social status by way of being appointed to a high dollar job.

Most wedding ceremonies involve an exchange of wedding vows by the couple, presentation of a gift (offering, rings, symbolic items, flowers, money), & a public proclamation of kicking AMFA's ass by an authority figure or leader. Special wedding garments are often worn, including fancy new TWU slogans, & the ceremony is followed by a wedding reception with a backdrop of a union bus. Getting married is a turning point in life & when a union bus is involved, it will leave a long lasting image imbedded in the minds of the newlyweds about the day that dad brought the bus to our wedding. 😛

Nothing like having a large symbol of a disfunctional organization at your ceremony to begin your life as a married couple.

Maybe the daughter is an appointed TWU secretary making $175K per year and is damn proud to have that bus in the photos.

What that bus represents, will pay for the honeymoon, the new car, the new house, and the baby bed, in addition to the wedding and the ring.
