I think that Carey was railroaded and was a great Union leader. He led the last major successful strike we saw in this country when they kicked the crap out of UPS much to the frustration of the corporate media .

The fact is nobody cares about that stuff, they care if they produce, and Hoffa SR and Carey did produce.
What has Buffenbarger done other than preside over the IAM losing half their members and most of their pay and benefits?

Five weeks and counting. Sounds to me like the Teamsters are having a hard time fighting the company and the TWU on the challenges.

As a Teamster I take offense to this post. Compared to the company bosses who ran this country into the ground for short term profit, these guys are paragons of virtrue.

They are crooks and stole from their own members, and you take offense?

Crooks? Stole from their members? Let me tell you something, I am a Teamster for six years and I was in the twu for twenty. The Teamsters put more money in my pocket than the twu ever did. I make great pay and benefits now. All the twu ever did was take my dues and give me absolutely NOTHING in return but pay and benefit cuts. Crooks indeed. Don't get me wrong I am in no way endorsing the Teamsters for the AMTs at AA. I hope they go with AMFA. Just tired of people knocking my union.

So you want criminals in charge of your union?

Convicted felons in charge of your union?

Mafia controlled officers in charge of your union?

Its ok for them to steal pension money from its own members?

Get real.

How is posting the truth about people who were convicted of crimes knocking it?

Its the reality of what happened.

Do you feel happy that $4 million of your dues money is being spent every year for years on paying for federal oversight of the IBT because of all the corruption?

No one is knocking it, its the truth of what is going on.

Well they have done better, and continue to do better for me than the twu ever did.

This isnt about the TWU, its about what criminal actions have been convicted of and spending $4 million every year on Federal Oversight cause of all the criminal activity.

Scope language? That's your example? What about pay and benefits? Look you say the Teamsters are a corrupt gang of criminals and mobsters? Well I make a great living and I owe a large part of that to my union. In spite of what these individuals have been convicted of I believe in my union. They have done right by me. The proof is in my pocket brother. So go ahead post another post and get the last word. I will be watching to see what the squeaky clean twu/iam "alliance" gets for you guys in the future.

" I will be watching to see what the squeaky clean twu/iam "alliance" gets for you guys in the future."

The answer to that question is jack and ####.....and jack left town.

I really really hope and pray the AMT's write in AMFA. They deserve they're own union after being screwed by AA and the Totaly Worthless Union for many years.

I agree. I think AMFA is the way to go for AA AMTs. Again I am in not recommending the IBT to them.
