I choose AMFA, what are your choices and why?

I picked Teamsters because AMFA is mismanaged themselves. What I mean by that is look at who's running the show? They seems to have no clout, look at their represented carriers, (Alaska, Northwest, Ual) all the jobs are going away. Ual don't seem to respect the mechanic contract, it seems like Ual management do whatever they feel like they want to do at this moment, 777 C check to China since it's there for some kind of service? What? are you kidding me? I feel like giving AMFA another chance but enough is enough I think. Oh well, let's see what happens but to be honest with you, I don't really give a #### who wins...I just wanna say I voted.
I predict decertification...for your sake, I hope I am wrong Tech.We will find out tomorrow, but I think you made a bad decision.
What will really pi$$ me off is having to buy new ‘T’ shirts but at least there will be beer and pizza after meetings.
Might as well get hammered and fed while taking it up the yazoo.![]()
Take Care,

Dear AMFA Members at United Airlines:
The National Mediation Board’s Representational Election has concluded at United Airlines (UAL). The result is that the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) received the most votes and will be certified as the bargaining agent for the Class and Craft of Mechanic and Related at UAL. AMFA will always support the right of workers to choose and we wish our departing membership at UAL the best of luck with their new direction. The Teamsters have made many promises and guarantees of results due to their size, power, and resources. The campaign is over and it is now time to see the Teamsters turn their promises into action.
AMFA extends our appreciation to the members, representatives, and officers who have worked relentlessly since 2003 for their peers at UAL. The UAL membership can be proud of the many challenges that were met head on and the accomplishments you all took part in during a historic period of turmoil in the airline industry.
AMFA will continue our 45 year quest to create the largest and most effective craft union for aviation mechanic and related workers. To our former United Airline members, we wish you well and hope that the Teamsters live up to your expectations. Stay safe and look out for each other.
Respectfully,
Steve MacFarlane
National Director
CONGRATULATIONS TEAMSTERS!!!
The Mechanics never should have voted for AMFA in the first place. You divided the strength of IAM during bankruptcy negotiations and you have found out just how well you were represented by AMFA. No matter how much you dislike a union, there is strength in numbers. I hope now that IAM is voted in, the IAM will go to Congress and recommend that management contracts be voided and renegotiated in a fair a equitable way. No one needs that kind of money. Tilton already has a lucrative pension from Chevron, he does not need 37 million from United.
