I have heard rumors repeatedly from every work group that May 5th is a soft date and June 5th is a must be in by date? Anyone here now anything. What is Sherri so busy doing that they can't tell us? Thats just around the corner!! Dish anyone?

This is for all inflight and CSR's. So it is not a labor specific issue

When does everybody else get to see this memo? There is nothing on "THE HUB" or in CATCREW. If you see it online could you please share it with the rest of us?
Thanks

No doubt...I haven't seen any sort of must read or memo regarding a "soft date" or "hard date" regarding the roll out. Do you have to be part of some super secret club to get the info?

Date: Monday, 21 April 2008

From: KINDERDIETZ.K
Subject: Uniform Launch Update

The wait is over !

By the end of April, TwinHill will have shipped 98% of the uniform pieces.
This means that F/As can start wearing the new uniform on the following
schedule.

Soft Launch May 5,2008:
--F/As who have a complete uniform may begin wearing the new uniform.
--F/As who do not have a complete uniform should continue to wear their
current uniform until they have a complete uniform.
--Please do not mix and match current uniform pieces with new uniform pieces,
as these items were not designed to be worn together.

Official Launch June 2, 2008:
--F/A will begin wearing the new uniform exclusively

Uniform Amnesty Period May 5 - June 1, 2008:
--This period provides F/As time to learn how to wear the new uniform.
--Peer educators will be available in the crew rooms during varying time
periods to answer uniform and appearance expectations questions.
--The Uniform and Appearance Expectations Quick Reference Handbook (QRH) will
be placed in each F/A's company mailbox or will be available for pick-up in
the crew rooms. The QRH is also currently available on theHub, Compass, and
Wings.

The little book even tells us that we are not allowed to have nose or ear hair and we must wear deodorant. Good God.....
But then again, some of these people look like homeless wrecks. I am going to have a martini party in the rocking chairs between A WEST B/C just watch this unfold.
"Excuse me Sally, you have too many bags and they are not company issue. You will need to consolidate." Can you imagine the scene from there? Ever watch When Animals Attack?

please tell me that jackets and ties are required on transatlantic flights?!?!??
or have they swoosh-ified that once proud standard, too?

Let's just get a pitcher Beach boy, because I want to see the demise of the flats, paired with the oversized cardigan and too-short dress. Bonfire anyone?

Is this just for FAs? Cause the memo posted just refers to FAs, nothing about the CSRs. Just curious cause I've had all my uniform pieces for two months just gathering dust in my closet.

THIS IS THE GROUP THAT CHAMPIONS THE GHETTO CASUAL APPEARANCE AND THEY ARE GOING TO TELL US HOW TO WEAR THE UNIFORM ! MORE GARBAGE FROM THE SANDCASTLE. IF THEY KNEW HOW TO DO ANYTHING CORRECTLY,PROFESSIONALLY AND ON TIME WE WOULD NOT BE IN THE STATE WE ARE IN. THESE FOOLS HAVE NOT MANAGED TO DO ANYTHING RIGHT THE FIRST TIME THRU FOR ANYTHING YET. JUST LOOK AT QIK/SHARES RES MIGRATION AS PROOF. IT ALMOST WANTS YOU TO BEG FOR THE RETURN OF 'IMPRESSIONS OF EXCELLENCE' , . WHEN THE COMPANY BELIEVED THAT OUR APPEARANCE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN BOTH OUR ATTITUDE AND THE IMPRESSION WE GAVE TO THE CUSTOMER ,THAT BEING ONE OF PROFESSIONALISM , SOMETHING TOTALLY LOST ON THE SANDFLEAS THAT INHABIT THE SANDCASTLE.

Will these standards also apply to the HP express Mesa ladies? God, I hope.
hey have a question..
is Mesa really that bad??

Yahoo finance... for mesa they are really getting a bad rap.... whats up w/ that???

While I will be one of the first to admit we have some atrocious attendants in uniform I find it HILARIOUS that the company remotely thinks they will be "b!tchslapping" a flight attendant for wearing their scarf wrong. I mean are you freakin' kidding me? They can't get a fuel truck to the right plane, proper catering, website to work, oh hell the list goes on but they are gonna come down hard on you for not wearing this piece of QVC crap correctly? PLEASE, PLEASE give me an excuse to jackslap someone and get my time off. A few "spot checkers" will be getting clipboards upside the head. I can see it now. I'd LOVE to be there while they tell a sista' in PHL that their hair is wrong. OHHHHHH my. The MOST unprofessional telling the little folk to look professional. It's quite ironic.

Nope, can't tell you that.
East contract does not permit seperate uniforms for TA. If DOM flight attendants have a no tie policy, so must the TA f/a-s. I believe this issue is going to be addressed in our upcoming tentative agreement. (I should live so long!)
