I also heard there is going to be some kind of "tattle" hotline where people can call and rat you out for wearing your uniform wrong.

I already saw someone wearing a scarf as a headband and no one said anything - - PRE uniform cut over.

I am NO miss america, but I'm kind of pensive about seeing this zip up dress debut...... I dont think anyone looks good in it....

For the love of all sanity, please , please pray that everyone wears control top pantyhose with that zip up dress . It is a very unforgiving cut, it either hangs on you or will make your gut look bloated. CONTROL. TOP. PANTYHOSE. NO POTBELLIES!!

🙄 Yes the look of seeing anyone's belly male OR FEMALE is wrong- so wrong. Control top hose and underwear that holds in should be required...but hey look at most Americans wear flipflops and shirts and pants that you can see every roll of fat. SOOO pretty to see f/a's in the current dress with the belly and rolls of fat in a dress size many sizes too small. Realistically there should be limit in the inform size- possibly max on at 3xxl!!

It looks like spandex gone bad, out of the box. Clothes that will make any hard body look like a couch potato. Oh, the fabric has a tendency to immortalize stains.

Kudos to the challenged individuals that selected that "look". Picking over the throwaways from hobos is really a waste of our concessions.

Nope, can't tell you that.
East contract does not permit seperate uniforms for TA. If DOM flight attendants have a no tie policy, so must the TA f/a-s. I believe this issue is going to be addressed in our upcoming tentative agreement. (I should live so long!)

I'm confused- what is a "domestic" F/A or a T/A F/A? My last three trips were two Europe, one domestic. Which am I? Same for blockholders- you can do both. We no longer have a baby pool "Oceanic Division" so there is no difference. The only people who call themselves "International" F/As are the same corny old ladies who tote around Harrods or Aeroboutique bags.

I think ties and scarves should be required period. There is no one on this property who was hired without the expectation of wearing some sort of neckwear. They were hired to be flight attendants, and should be expected to dress like one. Any merger partner will expect US F/As to dress accordingly, and we will look like the trashy country cousin as usual.

It'll be a big hullabaloo between the union and the company because F/As will cry that they have to carry it with them in case they pick up or are assigned a T/A trip. It's the company's fault for encouraging an already embarrassing looking workforce to 'casual it up'. Read trip reports about US Airways on any of the usual websites- many point out details like the male F/A with no tie as another indication of US's general carelessness.

I think it's sad when people don't take pride in their appearance. I automatically have less respect for someone who looks a mess because it shows me they have none for themselves or the people who have to look at them.

Exactly EMBFA. We have gone through TWO BK's on the east, pay cut after pay cut, merger with an airline that had buffoons for managers, dirty, filthy planes and service thats bad beyond description. With all that said what in HELL does that have to do with wearing your uniform properly? I think it's crazy and though I think they have quite a few that will try and pull off what THEY want to wear, uniform compliance folks will have a hell of a time approaching these people.
