United morgages LHR slots

The London times reporting today that UAL has mortgaged its Heathrow slots. Anyone have more info?

I couldn't find anything on this. Could be true - but I would question why this would occur. They are within the conditions to-date of the DIP financing and drawing from the fund - why mortgage something at this point?

But you can't read it without a paid sub. It would be nice to know the context for this headline. Is this for the DIP deal or someting else?

It's part of the DIP deal and is old news. Unless you're the UK media I guess
