News reports that pitchman Billy Mays was on the flight. And, that he died this morning.

Weird

I just heard about Billy Mays' death 30 minutes ago and now see this. I guess that will make for a more interesting autopsy, specifically if they find any trauma-related cardiovascular issue. I know it is a stretch, but based on the timing of events I am sure it will at least be looked at by the medical examiner.

As for Mays, I liked him. I have been watching Pitchmen and now this....

I loved Pitchmen, not too crazy about Mays however, but a job is a job, and his style worked.

Billy supposedly commented on things from the overhead falling and something hit him in the head......but he said he had a hard head.....one wonders if there isn't a head injury involved in his passing....

On a lighter note, those with stock in companies who make black hair dye might want to sell immediately....

Art, where did you learn that?

Edit: Never mind, the article on MSNBC has been updated again....

Just read on cnn that he said he hit his head during the hard landing. Autopsy might show he had a subdural hematoma--which could have killed him. I sure hope not. That could be bad news for US.

What did he supposedly hit his head on? I haven't seen any news or anything yet. Was his seatbelt fastened?

From one media account:

According to the same report, Billy was on the U.S. Airways flight that made a troubled landing in Tampa yesterday. Apparently the front tires blew out scattering debris across the runway.

Billy was interviewed after the fact and told Tampa Bay's Fox television affiliate, "All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."
