I guess this statement was made to get a rise out of the easties? Lets start with UP TO THE STANDARD...I f you call a dramatically reduced seat pitch due to increadsed capacity, and a last row that no longer reclines....UP TO THE STANDARD..Well, we on the East have have much higher standard. The second would be the HIGHLY in acurate...ACQUIRING company..AWA as we all in the industry know DID'NT HAVE A POT TO PISS IN. They could not have aquired a bag of chips let alone another airline, whether in or out of bankruptsy. Anyone with any knowledge of the transaction between AWA and Usaiway's know's that the money put forward for the MERGER, NOT AQUISITION..came from a consortium of 5 investors put together by an EASTIE named Bruce Lakefieild who has extensive contacts in the finacial community..PLEASE STOP MAKING INACURATE STATEMENTSAll of the old East 319's (120 seats) are being brought up to the standard of the acquiring company (America West) 124 seats.
Your kidding right? Like that LOVELY configuration they came up with for our A321's, where they now have to make fuel stops..Hmmm, not a money maker there. Or how about all the customers that we have lost to other airlines because those added seats and reduced cabin aminties, amongst other issues make their travel expierience with us a LIVING HELLI am sure there was a need to adopt a configuration that would actually make money, Image that?
Well here is another one. How about the newly added row 9 on the 319. You know the one with 2 seats on each side?? The 1 where there is no lockable recline and the seats are not only "upright" they are pushed forward so that when one of our unsuspecting passengers requests and is given the "exit row" they sit down only to find out they will be sitting in the BRACE position for a cross country flight!!!Your kidding right? Oh another one... the 767 is being reconfigured with 18 "semi" flat seats. It was said that the 18 seats needed more stretch space so they needed to go to 18 from 24. Well the new configuration now has an EXTRA 7 seats in coach. It was a decline and not an expansion of the Envoy product. TRASH. PURE TRASH.
LOL, That little gem came to mind after i posted, thanks for adding it...The list is so extensive bits and pieces slip my mind after the second glass of RED..LOLWell here is another one.
