Just a question, does US have any fas on furlough? I thought that there are no furloughed fas at US Airways, but then read on the AA forum that there are. Also are the original US fas merged with the America West fas? Since AA is hiring i would think we would have to have all furloughs back first.

No one is on furlough. USAirways has been hiring f/a's. Before they could begin the hiring process they had to call back all f/a's. That was done a long time ago.

I'm going to assume that the pilots are the only group that still have people on furlough. I'm sure that some other groups may have a few scattered here and there that don't want to relocate and are riding out their recall rights.

What does the seniority list for flight attendants at US Airways look like?

Let's say 20 years seniority. What percentage above and below?

Any other details is greatly appreciated.

20 years - is in the bottom 30-40% (on the East) since we have effectively been shrinking since the AWA merger.

20 years out West would probably be in the top 30-40 percent - but don't quote me. - No one is going to PHX except for new hires because of not having a Joint Contract. The minute there is and there are openings in PHX those previous stated percentages will drop as senior people (on the East) will finally be able to get into PHX that have been commuting from the West coast to the the East bases.

Fleet has Employees out on Furlough..... I know first hand as I am one of them (Voluntary June 2012)

The only pilots out on furlough are some west guys that have refused recall to the east side. It is a sensitive subject with the west. but in effect all that are still out are by choice.

U hired around 150 pilots last year and the latest bid shows another 129 newhires for march. I am told that the May bid is going to be much larger than the march one was.
