Pilot insults other airline employees

The writer is a fleet service agent. Chip Mudd's July 26 column ("Unions can sink US Airways") was self-serving and laughable. A pilot, of all people, condemns members of another union of "brinkmanship." Captain Mudd has been very well compensated, even during very lean years, and I am sure is well situated for the future. For him to condemn our front-line people who work very hard for a fraction of his salary is not only insulting, but also insolent. But, after all, he is a pilot.

All we want is to be recognized and treated with the respect that we deserve, from management as well as other employee groups. If management deals fairly with us, we will certainly reciprocate.
