US Airways says search for A340s exacerbated by 787 delay

Can anyone find two of the same configurations of the A340's. This could be the issue (ie same model/engine type). You will need two aircraft to operate this route, unless you went to every other day service.

Well,,, the United States Air Force is going all Airbus for it's tanker fleet.

So reassuring after the C-17 debacle. I mean, that the Air Force is any better than Doug and his 'weisers? Isn't his right-winger a former evangelical zoom-bag gone to plaid lounge-lizard, a Rusty Shackleford in drag?

So to sum it all up here:

We don't have any A-340's for China because Doug and Scott were busy celebrating Chinese New Year and missed the deadline for the orders. Meanwhile Sherri Shambles and the Company Historian were busy riding horses instead of revamping the LODO program.

Correct me if i'm wrong?
Well, everything was NOT lost over the Chinese New Year. I was told Shambles and her Elite Revolutionary Guards (from a Focus Group) were busy sampling entrees for the Dim Sum menu before they visited a facility that manufactures those Chinese peasant coats and rice hats they wear out in the fields. Slap a SWOOSH on either piece and Tempe will try to convince you they were inspired by Giorgio Armani  Also heard they found a place for those despicable calzones....... fed them to MAISY the RIF Dog as part of her incentive to play the Main Character in "Maisy plays Madame Butterfly" Chinese edition. Next Focus Group will decide on chopsticks- plastic or wood.

This airline has no intention of using 340's or any Boeing product to China. They will attempt to use 330-200's. The only way that jet can get to China is via a polar route. Even then it's a tight squeeze. But wait.

What the brainiacs haven't figured into their grand plan is the radiation problem of a polar route. Some airlines have stopped flying them. Others restrict their flight crews to one trip per month. Polar is a logistical nightmare and these cretins in Tempe are basing the entire operation on those routes because they don't want to spring for a jet that can truly serve the route the way it should be served.

Once more you have evidence of airline wannabes trying to do it on the cheap because they don't know how to do it the right way. And I'm telling you the AFA and USAPA will have something to say about the operation if they try to put the crews in radiation danger.

A very tight squeeze indeed. Especially if enroute winds and weather at alternates are considered.

I predict the China service will not happen.
Tempe will come up with many reasons
1. PHL gates
2. US recession
3. Oil prices
4. No suitable equipment due to 787 delay....(now that one is priceless)

OK here is another possible scenario, what if Russia prohibits overflights? How many more miles would that be if they prohibit that?

You forgot one. Headwinds.

PHL crewmembers couldn't get appointments to get their security badges renewed.
