Good GOD ALL MIGHTY !!!

Does every thread regardless of actual TOPIC have to become an education in Labor relations and union politics? 🙄

This thread was about a fuel leak on Acft 724 in PHX if I recall correctly?

To get back to the Topic MOC has all info on Epubs and can fax it to any fax machine so just call them. 412-747-9319/9320.

700 they were submitted well within the guidelines also it was not over the allotment. The company cited needs of service
(in other words it would create overtime) they are over budget. Employees have earned DAT's to use to spend with family through the holidays and are told no. The company had to use that money for arena renaming - I guess.
If they saved the DATs to use during the holidays then chances are the holiday weeks were picked by senior employees during the typical vacation picking. Given the current vacation allotment ratio, I wouldn't expect too many openings during the holidays. But this is all hearsay.
We had the same problem in CLT, we filed a grievance and it was resolved that if the vacation allotment was not filled the DAT was granted.
I think this may be the key here. DAT days do not have to be approved if the allotment is full. You may find an approval above the allotment if there is no need to cover with OT, but to just straight out deny it because it may cause OT and there is space in the allotment is rare since you can not deny it "due to needs of service" anymore.

We would have to get a direct story from someone who got denied.

PITMTC I thought I was clear but you seem to want to read my post. So here goes and this is a fact - they were denied because the company did not want to pay overtime NOT because they were over the allotment. I'm done on this subject.

Lighten up. Your reading like it was you again. But you already told me it wasn't. 😉
You first told me it was something you heard, but I guess now you have dug up some facts, so I will have to take your word for it. 😉
