Actually, not, since Allegheny had some redeeming qualities, unlike your current sideshow.
See? You continute to prove my point FOR me. You folks just can't help yourselves can you? I'll just blame it on the chip they implAAnted in your head.

If I didn't know better, I'd think that I'd somehow stumbled into the USAviation.com Children's Forum. Where 13 is the maximum age permitted.

Well now that you bring up the current sideshow, it might be interesting to know that the current ringleader is former AA, along with his wife, a former AA flight attendant

Emphasis on the "former" part. Though, to be honest, our "current" are not much better.

 Enjoy the mock turtleneck. Maybe you can get a "mansierre" (google it) for your man boobs problem.
When we are one big happy family you to will enjoy the "mock turtle neck" as well.

Man boobs and all. Welcome to our world.

P.S. from the AA board:
"A union leader is calling for the resignation of the top five American Airlines executives, including CEO Gerard Arpey, after the group split stock bonuses worth nearly $5 million Wednesday."

Labor is doing a splendid job on your side aren't they?

It seems you have your own problems.

Guilty as charged here...my apologies. It's just so hard for me to let low blows like that go unanswered. US is far from perfect, but I do get defensive about it when it's needlessly attacked by an "outsider" with particularly personal and derogatory comments. However, I took a deep breath and realized that arguing with a crazy person just makes me one, as well. 🙂

US management is fairly universally despised and maligned, both by employees of this airline and others. I won't defend them. But the company itself is comprised of some of the hardest working and toughest employees in the industry, and I dare say no group has been through the ringer more than them/us these last few years. They've been beaten down repeatedly and somehow still manage to make it through. They've had to endure successive management teams that have pitted them against each other, instigated in-fighting, raped them and then walked away filthy rich with money stolen from their pockets. No matter what anyone else says, you'd be hard-pressed to find a tougher, more dedicated, more experienced or more skilled workforce in the industry. And it's important to remember that US Airways employees are NOT management and NOT the ones running the company.

Exactly what did I post that was personal? Or untrue? Besides, why is it ok for you to get defensive, but you and your cohorts get free rein to use terms like SkynAAzis, and brainwAAshing? There must be some subtle difference that I don't understand. Maybe you can explain it to me.

I wasn't referring to you. I was primarily referring to one of your AA cohorts with all the double-A's in his/her name. For the most part, your posts have been civil and you typically seem to remain above the fray -- that is, up until post #51 in this thread, which had a definite "looking-down-your-nose" at US tone to it. Still, my comments weren't directed at you personally.

Try to keep in mind that the employee group at US Airways is a pretty downtrodden bunch, and deregatory comments about them personally (or even the company) can naturally be met with some resentment, especially from those on the outside who can't quite relate to what has happened to them over the last few years and from those who, without fail, tout themselves as superior to the lowly souls that have struggled in the trenches at this airline for quite a while now. So yeah, forgive us if we're a little "defensive."
