That's rich coming from a west pilot. "...if you want to reconcile differences you have to negotiate a little..."
That's past merely "rich" , and fully established within the Land of the Hilarious...especially given that the particular poster referenced coined "Ho Ho Ho!..St Nic is coming to town!"...posted with a "Cute" graphic of Santa and sleigh's "reindeer" being labeled with ALL the front ones = AWA.
Here's but a tiny few examples of the west's "reasonable" attitudes towards even the least bit of post-Nic negotiations:
Prechilill: May 7th, immediately after Nic: "I would recommend to the USAir MEC to come clean on this issue and educate their pilots the award is final and binding."
Cactusflyr May 9th..same drill:"NA NA, and as a junior AWA FO, right now; "I WILL NOT FLY WITH AAA FIRST OFFICERS WITH AN ACTUAL HIRE DATE UNDER JULY 1980!!!..."
Heck...I almost left out Junebug's famous "Booyashaka!!" In any case...pretty much the entirety of west postings, after Nic, amounted to "Nyaah! Nyaah!..Dude!..We Totally GOT you guys good!"..."and you're stuck with it!!...Nyaah! Nyaah!" An entire year went by without the slightest real alteration of that "Integrity Matters/"Righteous Position". Frankly?...I'm fresh outta' sympathy for such BS.

That line right there makes all other arguments a mute point. You have NO choice but to accept the Arbitrators award. You are REQUIRED to. Case closed"

If it causes a pilot group to break away and seek a different collective bargaining agent, common sense should tell you something is seriously flawed."
Response = exB717: "Cause and effect? No. ALPA Merger Policy did not cause you to be unhappy, YOU choose to be unhappy. IMHO it was a case of unrealistic expectations."
One "might"...ahem....now argue that "USAPA did not cause you to be unhappy, YOU choose to be unhappy. IMHO, it was/is a case of unrealistic expectations".
