And, as I initially said, I haven't confirmed this, but the source is sound so far.
Frankly, I don't give 2 sharts...but i thought you'd like to hear about the possibility of a merger sans ALPA...

hmmm. whatever.

Better fill out a real application soon, or I'll get bored on this site.
Don't worry Mach, you got used to saying cactus just fine, you will get used to the Nic. as well.

Yeah, yeah...

here's a little schooling for you:

DEFINITION: ADD

difficulty concentrating or maintaining attention on tasks

PS: this will need confirmation, but I have a message from someone saying Robert Crandall was on property this past week discussing a potential merger...and it would be DOH...

check it out yourself...

Try not to get fired in the meantime.

Are you aware of the legislation passed last December? DOH would be dead. Get used to it.

I don't care about that...personally. You might.

Instead of reading last weeks sermon from the "mob:...why don't you confirm or deny this visit from AA?...reliably.

I don't have to get used to anything...after all the firings (at will) out west...this will go away quicker than the East attrition would have fixed it.

hmmm

So I am reading through this thread and I have come up with two questions...

1. Mach says that none of the applications were valid. I do not know either way. Frankly I do not care. However, how can USAPA claim 600+ new members when none of these apps are acceptable?

2. Concerning the 600+ applications how many were objectors? And is it accurate for USAPA to list these individuals as "members?" I was under the impression that one CANNOT be a member if he/she is listed as an objector...

Gawd...you're worse than your friends.

I'm a pilot.
You're a pilot.

Some advice.
Stop kidding yourself about his BS "game" with the applications.
You all know what you signed.
Stop listening to people who aren't between your ears, or you sleep with.

OMG.

Dude...you seem like a nice guy..I've been following your knee deal. (good healing)

This is not about "members"....either defined as such or not.
"Members" can be in "good standing" or not...fireable EITHER WAY.

Has nobody explained this fact to you?

The word "member"...doesn't save your job.....explain this all to your wife and kids...I'm sure they'll understand.

Okay so I'm gonna have to assume you do not have an answer. I figured you wouldn't but there is still many out here who do.

What I signed was an official letter requesting objector status. Trust me it had all the necessary grammatical entries to be found "legal." So I am curious! Am I listed as one of the 600+ new members "who found salvation suddenly." I believe USAPA is blowing some smoke up your skirt there sweetie... But maybe that's just those voices I keep hearing...

Good luck, pal...you have been warned.

You cannot claim "dissenter status" and be exempt from "maintenance dues" for any union in this industry...agree with it or not.

Further, at ALPA, if you don't GENUINELY REAPPLY EVERY 6 MONTHS...if and when they do vote you in..you will OWE for ALL ARREARS back until your FIRST GENUINE application.

I'm sure USAPA is no different.

Nice knowing you.

Okay now we have something to build on here... I understand member standing. I am not really asking about whether a member is in good standing or not. My point is that I do not believe one can be a member if you are listed as an objector. I believe that USAPA, maybe to inflate numbers or something, is confusing the two situations. There is non-member objector. And there is member with either good or bad standing.

How can someone be fired if they are in good standing? Are you suggesting that the company can fire them? If that's the case then we agree. However to suggest that USAPA could push to have someone fired when they are in good standing is just plain idiotic. I'll assume you meant the company... But then if USAPA fails to represent the pilot as the CBA then they set themselves up for DFR.

The word "member"...doesn't save your job.....explain this all to your wife and kids...I'm sure they'll understand.

My wife and three little children have been fully briefed on the matter at hand. They understand that we merged with US Airways, we became embattled with the east over failure to abide by binding arbitration, they understand that now because of this I will be furloughed out of seniority order. I believe the better question is why. Why is USAPA failing to uphold the transition agreement (the key to keeping my job a little longer and maybe permanently)? Why would I submit to a union whose sole purpose is to inflict harm on my career? Why...?

😱 What would Robert Crandall want to merge USAir with? Olives???

Bother..I can't read your whole post...I'm sorry. You mention family and kids..(I've lost both to this f'ing business)...

You are NEVER EXEMPT from dues at a UNION SHOP.

(doesn't matter what union)

I'm really sorry if this is the first you are hearing this.

Are you just 3 hours behind?

Stop interrupting an important discussion with OLD NEWS.

Nice knowing you.

Man! You are jumping around more than a crack addict with a broken pipe.

Nobody said I or anyone else would refuse to pay when properly asked to do so. What I expect is for USAPA to send me an independently audited statement containing only germane fees. I have in my possession a quote from Seham himself stating this very requirement. Until I receive such a statement then USAPA has not done their part.

OK...as I said before...good luck.

As to "jumping around..?"

just re-read your mentors narrative out there.

Good luck, pal.

This is a "no-brainer" for Parker.

Your "wacko-applications" close the deal.
